The owners have totally renovated this lovely old building and done it very sympathetically - it is modern but retains the period features.   We were here for two nights with our two young children in an adjoining suite of rooms (Margaux et Jules). With a satnav we found the place without any trouble (though I wouldn't have wanted to be without it!) and were impressed on our arrival with the attractiveness of the setting, the chateau itself and our rooms.   Wow!! The property is next to the river Loire and easy to find. On arrival we were met by the lovely friendly couple who own the Chambres dHotes working on their part of the caves. The place is stunning. Our room was at the back of the caves with a 4 poster bed and spa shower. When we turned the lights off to go to sleep it was black and silent. The breakfast was good and when the owners came back from an evening out they gave - Spending the night in a cave that feel modern and has a swimming pool is great! The owner is very welcoming. You feel like you are staying at a friend's home. The yard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. You can bring a picnic with you. We were able to use the refrigerator. There is a large TV and leather sofa in the common area. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. The shower is nice also. The breakfast was good. Convienient location for seeing Amboise and nearby chateaux.

  The owner, Roselyn, was friendly, gracious and courageous as we communicated with very limited knowledge of each other's language. Fortunately, her English was much better than our French! The rooms were very comfortable, each with a dedicated bathroom with a great shower and even a spa in one of them! The whole experience was a nice surprise - The amazing owner. If you want to have a great, intimate experience and truly get to know a really nice lady, then choose this tucked away charmer of a B&B. We arrived tired after a very long drive. We had stopped at a store and had picnic provisions to enjoy in the garden. The lady of the house not only supplied ice to chill our wine, but she brought out plates and cutlery for our picnic. We lounged on the back terrace in the most comfortable chairs for three hours, so nice after two weeks

  The hosts were absolutely fabulous. We arrived late in the afternoon & Francoise and Bernard were so gracious...a good start. A talk about the region showed they knew and cared about what guests want. Breakfast was superb with ample everything. Couldn't recommend it enough. A great place to put away the car and walk to all the attractions yet ... 别人怎么说 » peaceful and quiet. Thank you. - We found staying at les Hauts Amboise more than comfortable and welcoming . It was well located to visit the Loire Valley with its many wonderful chateaus and outstanding gardens. Amboise is great to eat and meet people and relax after a busy sight seeing.
