  Set in its own grounds, very peaceful, excellent parking. Our room was excellent, large and spacious with good facilities. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites.   Very friendly staff - Not much---room was cheap and poorly appointed; bathroom was lacking soap and shower; bed was hard; stuffyw/ little air. It was funky but staff was accomodating and pleasant.

  I really enjoyed my time in Amboise. To some extent that was due to the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The position of the hotel was great and allowed us to explore Amboise on foot with great access to restaurants and shops.
