  The hotel is beautifully situated, in the midst of fields and vineyards. We stayed in a family room and there were a couple of ruined mountaintop castles visible from our window. The building was also very pretty, with a lovely lounge and restaurant. The room itself was large and airy.   Very nice and clean hotel. Slightly old (retro might be the right word), but well-kept. Very friendly and dedicated staff. Good restaurant. - The staff was very helpful and help us find a restaurant and a wine cave we wanted to go to.

The hotel has been / is being substantially modernised and there are currently some odd contrasts between "before" and "after" - eg very advanced bathroom squeezed into somewhat limited space and alongside a small bedroom.   The hotel is beautiful. It was much nicer than the pictures showed. The only rooms available were the junior suite and after we saw it we were so glad we paid extra for it. The room was beautiful and large and worth the extra price. Everything at this hotel is pristine and reaps with French charm.
