  The staff were exceptionally positive and friendly. The place was light and airy with lots of plants and good garden space. It felt like the hotel was family run with pride and the staff really understood and welcomed children and cared about their guests. It was a very peaceful location. Breakfasts were especially enjoyable in the sunny dining room overlooking a beautiful mansion. Breakfasts were also good value & tasty--fresh pastry & bread, fresh fruit & yogurt, good coffee & selection of tea. Our studio was clean & spacious and quiet. Great location for visiting both ville d'hiver and ville l'ete and the waterfront.

  It was very close to the airport (we walked, which took ~15min). We also arrived late (well after check-in hours), and I was able to call a number to get an access code and get my room key, which was nice. The process was smooth and easy.   The reason why we first selected this hotel was because it was an old house directly in Saint-Émilion and it is literally at the entrance of the small medieval town with direct access to all the restaurants and shops. The owner - Delightfully furnished studio accomodation which suited us perfectly. The added kitchen facilities enabled us to enjoy our own breakfasts and on one of the 4 nights that we stayed we were able to prepare a meal to eat "at home".
