The hotel is built out of a decommissioned (?) church and some of the
rooms (on the upper floors) have glorious architecture. I also had a
minor medical emergency one night and the front desk clerk, Luc Querite,
looked after my needs and called a doctor for me. His calm demeanor and
concern made me feel so much better. He was an exceptional careta

Also, the hotel is situated right next to the shopping/restaurant
district, and the train station. Perfect location. -
Poitiers is a really attractive city with lots of pedestrianised streets, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Varied and interesting architecture, churches and a huge cathedral. Students had left for the summer so the city was quiet. We were the only visitors in the cathedral! Parking nearby at only €5 per night. Very good advice from receptionist on restaurant choices. Bistro de Boucher fabulous.
