We felt comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived at the hotel. There is not a large staff but they are very friendly and attentive. The evening meal was very good and breakfast was good and relaxed. The room was basic but the bed very comfortable. It's an ideal stopover, 40 minutes South of Calais, just outside Boulogne, in a quiet village and we will definitely stay again, especially for the calm atmosphere, the friendly staff and delicious food. It is worth going for a weekend.
所有评语 » I suspect that many of the hotel's guest were, like us, stopping over on their way to or from uk given the location, which is well situated for both Calais and Boulogne. However, the staff could not have been more welcoming if we had been staying for a week. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with satellite tv that had both French and English channels. We had an excellent meal in the busy restaurant that seemed to include a party of locals, which is always a good sign. Drinks and dinner on the peaceful terrace overlooking the garden. Great food and good wine list. Friendly, attentive service. Staff offered to make us an early breakfast before we left for the ferry. We have stayed there several times on our way back to the UK - an easy 30 minute drive to Calais. It's a lovely place to end the holiday. Its location near Calais. The superb quality of the food served in the restaurant. Value for money. The friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff, my wife is Coeliac and therefore cannot eat bread, at breakfast they prepared her some scrambled eggs instead of the croissants. This is a family run hotel. The staff and owner are very friendly. They speak English fairly well but I always believe you should learn some of the language of the country you are visiting. Especially please and thank you etc. They appreciate the fact you make the effort. A very pleasant family run hotel in a quiet French village. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In a very quiert small village, in its own grounds, the house is spacious, lovely terrace for dining on, overlooking the garden. Food very good, with attentive service. Friendly welcome. A little disappointing to find the 25 euro dinner menu had no cheese course, only being offered as an alternative to a sweet dish. No Wi-Fi, but not a big problem when staying for just a night or two. There was nothing to not like. No adverse comments. car park area was rough groud and could do with tarmacing. Breakfast was nice but more fresh fruit would have been good. A little ham too would be better than just cheese. Some chairs out the front of the building to have an evening drink in the sun would be an idea..... nothing really to don'T like in the hotel. Price of drinks. Nothing to complain about. Nothing - good parking, easy to find and very hard working staff. No shower curtain over the bath. We would have preferred a softer bed and a duvet instead of blankets. Nothing. Rooms at front could be better insulated from traffic noise. Bed was rather firm for some tastes. It is in a small village with no public transport. We knew what it was like. A car is essential. Nothing. Some Degree of Road Noise on Front facing Bedrooms - used as a "rat run" by heavy vehicles to avoid Motorway Tolls. Single choice 15 euro menu - used to be 2 choices. Not much. There was nothing not to like. Nothing. Rooms are basic. The garden was a bit tired and the tennis court was a little tatty. cheapest wine was expensive @ €20. Beds a bit hard. Bit pricey. There was nothing during our three day stay that we did not like. The second time we stayed, it was evident that the edges of the carpet had not been vacuumed for some time. Otherwise very clean. a problem with the electricity. showerin bathroom needs De moulding.
