Easy to find on a main road with free paring outside. We were warmly greeted at the door by the proprietor, who helped us carry our bags in and showed us to the room. The hotel has old features and a clean modern feel. We felt totally relaxed after a long drive as soon as we walked through the door. Our room was clean and fresh with wooden floors the ensuite had a good shower with choice of two heads. The port is a short walk through park 10/15 mins easy to get to with the map we were given. W.
所有评语 » The location was ideal for us. Not being in the centre of town it wasn't too hectic. Designer furniture and spotlessly clean. Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable. Staff were great and nothing too much trouble. We had the breakfast option and found it good value for money. Showers had decent pressure and plenty of hot water at 0930. We had the comfort room which we later learnt is the budget small room. Fine for 2 nights if passing through but too small for longer stays. Minimal storage for two. On check in we were offered an upgrade to a larger room at a reduced rate which we accepted. We were taken to show the rooms before making the decision. We were taken through a map of La Rochelle showing where all the attractions were and generally made to feel very welcome. Location is great just a few minutes walk fro the centre but away from the night noise. The hotel is boutique style with some lovely quirky touches both in the rooms and in the general hotel area. Will definitely ensure we . Very clean and tidy, modern finishes in a lovely old building. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Liked that it was just outside of the main hustle and bustle and that to get into the centre was an easy ten minute walk through a gorgeous park. Owners were lovely and really helpful. Would stay here again upon our next visit. Everything ! The hotel is very special, decor, ambience, breakfast and comfort and the owners are lovely people who cannot o enough to make you stay a pleasure. The location was great and a short very pleasant stroll to the market, town or beach. Staff v helpful and friendly,quiet efficient roo with free wifi.free parking outside, short walk across park to centre/harbour.Lovely building.Opposite decent boulangerie.Walked into centre for breakfast.Modern arty reception area. The room and its bathroom were very comfortable and had recently been refurbished to a high standard. The breakfasts were good and our hosts produced something different each day. Our hosts were very nice people and very helpful. We enjoyed a brief but very enjoyable stay and look forward to a return in the not too distant future. Le patron, although he spoke little English and I little French could not have been more friendly and helpfull. This was our second time to stay in this hotel and it won't be our last. The staff are fantastic and the gentleman on reception was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Looking forward to next year. The breakfast, the cleanliness, the lift, but above all the energy, charm, helpfulness and good humour of the owners - not to mention their generosity of arranging champagne at a restaurant we went to. Off road parking (motorcycle, very important). Superb welcome and instant bond, information supplied and explained, wi-fi for detailed research, clean rooms very pleasant staff, a pleasure. Ambience, hospitality of hosts- wonderful welcome and courtesy throughout 3 night stay - plenty of tourist information. Beds extremely comfortable - very clean and great character . Very contempory facilities with supremely comfortable bed and perfect shower. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Clean, nice and cute old maison.the breakfast is super. The bed was very comfortable. The landlord and landlady extremely kind and nice. The center is just 10 minutes walking. Ease of access to old town of La Rochelle. the hotel was very comfortable and modern. comfortable and clean, staff helpful. style - cleanliness - friendly staff. Knowledgeable and friendly owner. Breakfast. Was excellent. Good bathrooms, polite staff . Excellant bakery opposite. The small room size. But it seems comfort rooms are the budget option so we are wiser now!. Nothing. Perhaps preferred to have been nearer to harbour.No sitting/other public room or garden to sit in.Bit sterile but ticked boxes for what we needed. The walk into the city centre was a bit long. This was not a big problem except the one evening it rained. Elderly people might find the very stylish shower a bit tricky - no grab handles. No other grumbles. No room tea making facilities, television so quiet hard to hear,. No dining room. Nothing. Nothing to complain about, providing the price is right. The shower splashes out. No shelf in the shower, so had to put shampoo etc on the floor. Inside of shower room door was quite dirty in an otherwise spotless hotel. Although the quality of the breakfast was excellent, it was a little expensive . Parking is very limited. The shower head needs to be descaled, minor fault but makes all the difference!. Nothing. too far from the centre of la Rochelle. No tea making facilities in room. No bath. nothing of note - quite a small room. Limited parking. Room was a bit small. The parking decription was mis leading only 4 spaces available on site .
