  Great Historic hotel since 1914! Its in the Downtown central Chamonix shopping street! Great mountain view to the French Alps from the 4th floor. Old style large rooms. - The staff were extremely friendly and spoke a little English which helped. Breakfast was basic but served the purpose and everything that was there was good quality.

  Great location with very nice view of mountains on both sides of the house. Resident manager Dmitri was very friendly and helpful. Our booked family room was not available but he made 2 rooms available to us.   The staff is a fantastic bunch of friendly and energetic young people. We had a problem with food allergy and they went out of their way to help us. The hotel is quiet but this might be different in busier times of the year (we stayed there between the ski season and summer). The food was good. A new chef had arrived - We booked a room for just 1 night and called in a day before to inform them that we will arrive late. The lady spoke English on phone and found that everyone speaks English at the hotel too. The staf was extremely helpful. They had given us their best room (18), but since we had lot of luggage, we asked for a room at lower level. They quickly changed the room (3), which was also a very good room. We asked for directions and attractions in the morning, and again the staff was extremely helpful.

  The hotel for us was set in the ideal location, 10 minutes walk to Chamonix town centre with 2 but stops and a train stop outside the hotel. The hotel is lovely, the meals are fabulous and the staff are what really make this hotel great. Friendly and helpful all the time. Will definately be coming back here. The vie - Friendly and relaxed place, with close proximity to Chamonix town centre (10min walk) and good links to the slopes. There is bus stop just outside of the hotel, which can take you directly to either Le Tour or Les Houches skiing area. The staff is cool and relaxed, food is amazing and great value for money if you book half board. Excellent 3 course dinners as a part of half board. Great value for money overall, in a very expensive Chamonix area. Nice and cosy restaurant and bar area.

  The wonderful staff member who checked us in - the friendliest we encountered anywhere in our three week trip. We upgraded our room to a mountain view, and were rewarded with a view of the mount Blanc on our second morning. Room was small but comfortable.
