Everything about this place suggested old world charm, although there were renovations occuring to the exterior of building. (Le Manior is approx 150 years old)
Rooms were elegantly decorated with furniture and fittings.
Francois the proprietor was the perfect host, very attentive to our needs, and very forthcoming with information and assistance.
Francois missed his calling as a first class chef.

- Very friendly owner, a must is his dinner which he prepares on
request. Restaurant quality for 25 euro. 70 euro per night is a steal
for the quality of room & service you get.Spacy room &
bathroom. Certainly one of the best places to get a room in this area.
I stayed in this hotel before. The place is pretty nice and with the change of the owner service has even increased. Communication in Englisch is easy now.
unexpectedly amazing place with very nice kitchen, forest air and a very friendly owner.
There is nothing we didn't like, except for the 30+ steps we had to walk up and down to and from our room - a bit of a trial for two unfit ladies. LOL.
- Booking problem: Booking indicated on Internet page 12.5km distance to
Montataire (my destination). Reality was 29km & it took min. 40Min
to arrive there.
