I have traveled around Europe the last month and my favorite stay was at La Cour Carree. Main reason..the customer service was outstanding. I was delayed because of snow in Paris and the manager personally emailed me to assure me of my stay and accommodation and took care of everything. Amazing. Feels like home. Great location,quiet , comfortable, clean at a good price. My daughter and I really liked the simple but tasty decoration of this unfussy hotel. It was a real find and would definately go back and recommend to friends.

Spacious room and bathroom, Clean and comfortable sheets and clean towels . Almost new. I couldn't stay longer. Not suitable for people with heavy bags as there is no lift and the stairs are narrow and spiral. Really difficult to find by car, largely due to the one way system in Bordeaux. The map on the website does not help at all but managed to pull in and get a better one from Tourist information. Would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room, but understand the size constraints might not allow. An English-style shower would be appreciated, but not essential. Private Parking was full so we had to park in a public parking, quite expensive in the end... No mini fridge or safe in room. Not much storage space or hangers. No privacy from houses directly opposite when windows/shutters open as no net curtains or other privacy protection. No water or glasses in rooms for drinking. Great shower but nowhere to place soap/shampoo. I think for the price the breakfast should be included The rooms are very minimalist perhaps a little too much. There is no lift so if you are on the top floor it can be a bit of a challenge. the stairs and the shower (water get out too easily). Stairs to the upper floors were without handrails. Skimpy with the towels. Car parking not at the hotel. Not a lot of parking.. No Lift, bathroom door did not close and smoking in the inner courtyard which floated into your room if the window was open. ... the room rate (a bit high) and breakfast (rudimentary and expensive). Shower was not fixed to the wall, had to be hand held. Stingy breakfast!. The room was very poorly furnished. Curtains too narrow to block out the all night lighting. Shower fitting difficult to operate (had to be held throughout) only one chair in a room for two. Lack of hanging/ storage space. WC room too small and cheap lavatory seat that moved around during use. Bedside tables too small.Overhead room lights too bright ( like a soccer stadium). No elevators. Lugging up the luggages up the spiral staircase is a challenge. Staff can be warmer and friendlier.
