We stayed for two night here as a base to see the battlefields and western front on a tour and with our rental car. We found the location to be great and accessible both by car and with other transport as the station is 300m away. The location was just tucked away from the hustle and bustle however so the noise was minimal. It was only a shprt walk to the cathedral and down to the canal with lots of dining options. 所有评语 » Good that we were able to store our bikes inside, receptionist/owner very friendly and helpful even though English not fantastic. Right opposite station which may be convenient for some visitors, though we found it not great for finding restaurants nearby (though we may have been looking in wrong place). Very good shower. Great value for money. Overall would definitely recommend!. The hotel staff was very helpful during whole our stay. The hotel was located close to the center and we were able to walk nearly everywhere in the town center. The parking is available only on the street and paid during weekdays, however the reception was able to arrange the parking in the hotel next to our hotel. Really appreciated. We loved the managers of the hotel who were friendly, helpful, obliging and fun...and we loved their dog! We also liked the breakfasts which were exceptionally good value at just 7 Euros. We were delighted when the managers, seeing how old one of our members was, offered to have him in the downstairs unit. Safe cycle (bike) storage behind reception and comfortable facilities, just what was required. Homemade baked goods for breakfast also fantastic. Very friendly host with a nice dog. Speak good English. Great location for the Cathedral and train station if that's what you're needing. Location was very good, walking distance to the cathedral. We stayed there to attend Anzac Day services and the shuttle buses left from just around the corner. the hotel was very conveniently placed for exploring the area, and the staff very helpful. The hotel next door is used for good secure off street parking at 5 euros a day,otherwise it is just street parking which is difficult and metered. Its location is good and parking nearby (Cinema). Only negative is that there is only on street parking available with a ticket machine that only allows a maximum for a 4 hour ticket (however 6pm to 9am are free). Nothing, was very good, and great value for money!. WiFi was available only for 30 minutes through Orange free offer. We used wifi a lot and we would have preferred if it didn't time out after 30 minutes. If it timed out after an hour, it would have been fine. Wifi not free. The shower was very small, not completely unusual in France, but I am not getting any smaller to compensate. Nothing. No complaints at all. Room a little small; squeaky floorboards a bit annoying. The rooms were very hot and would have benefitted from fans or AC. Poor sound deadening; could hear others thru walls and ceiling. Poor ventilation; very stuffy. No hair drier. Only 1 power point if you remove the lamp. Bedspread looked dirty so we could not bear to have it on the bed. No shower curtain on bath. Room quite hot we could not get the radiator to completely shut down. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Narrow staircase was hard getting suitcases up/down. We were had an upper floor room, and the day was extremely hot, making sleeping very difficult. No air conditioning, A fan might have bern enough to help, but also not available. No shower curtain on the bath. For a 2 star hotel, that's the only fault I could find. Thin walls, even thinner doors - somewhat lacking in privacy. Under renovation and hallway was littered with doors, tools and noisey workmen. No lift. no window shade... you get wake up with the sun! For those having mobility issues or heavy suitcases...only a steep staircase to get to upper floors. Toilet not en-suite, reception closed after 10.30 (but you get a code to get in - ok provided you do not plan to arrive late on the first night). Bit noisy. I missed an elevator. Ground floor units are very noisy. Bed a bit uncomfortable. Room needed redecorating - paper starting to peel from walls and furniture slightly chipped. Unfortunately the room we were in was on the first floor which is good stairs wise as there is no lift, but we could hear everything from above us, including the plumbing which I'm fairly sure ran through our walls! Spoke to other guest on other floors though that said they didn't hear any noise. Luck of the draw I guess!. the room we were offered was up three flights of stairs, with only a velux window, we asked to change to another room and were allocated one on the second floor at the back over looking a wall and decorated completely in brown! clean but in need of updating.If you can afford a more expensive room you may get a better deal. The bathroom has no window and it's verry small. The smell from kitchen invades your room and it's pretty hard to live with it. The wifi timed out every 30 minutes. Stairs to the upper floors are narrow and steep. Narrow staircase to the rooms and no lift. The hotel was more like a hostel with individual rooms. There was no access to hot beverages or water once breakfast was over. Double room was not really a double more of a queen size bed so a bit of a squeeze. Was offered a bigger room for extra cost I paid for a double so should at least have had a double bed. It was a bit tired, not much room for three people in a room. The room was small and basic, but clean. I thought the price a bit high for what was on offer, though in line with Amiens generally. Stairs to the upper floors are narrow and steep and would not be suitable for the elderly. Rooms not what you would call luxurious but perfectly acceptable. The sound insulation between the rooms is almost non existent. When you can hear the sound of snoring in the room next door you know it is going to be a long night. The stairs, but in older buildings almost impossible to avoid. Again our trip has been marred by unseasonal freezing weather. Thus our perception may be less positive.
