Docked in the Aurajoki River in Turku, this boat hostel offers free sauna access and cabins with private bathroom facilities. Parking is free next to the boat. Turku Castle is 500 metres away. All cabins at Laiva Hostel Borea have a porthole and a wardrobe. Each has access to a TV lounge with a small library and newspapers. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. For an additional fee, the Bore Museum Exhibition can be experienced on board. Guests can relax on the furnished decks of the boat. Guests have access to a communal kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. Turku city centre is 2 km away. Turku Train Station is a 10-minute drive from the boat.

Nice, old fashioned cruise ship turned into hotel without making any serious changes to the design of the interior. Fine trip into the past. Everything was clean and the staff was absolutely great, most helpful you can get. Good location in a picuresque port, near the Turku castle and maritime centre - Forum Marinum and in a distance of half an hour walk from the very city centre. Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary coffee/tea, use of sauna. I read some people here complain about the room size but you cannot expect a boat cabin to be very big. On other hand I have stayed in 3* hotels in some countries including uk and France where rooms were even smaller!.
所有评语 » This was a different kind of hotel experience, exotic and nostalgic. The living room and kitchen were well equipped. Staff excellent, eg breakfast cd be enjoyed past 10.30 even with fresh coffee. Interesting experience to stay in the boat hostel. Staff was super! I have made a mistake while booking and we could make changes by calling. Thank you for that! Free parking next to boat. Typical YH deal in an unusual setting: a reconditioned ship, with cabins turned into rooms. Small functional space with bare minimum equipment. it was clean, friendly, good combination of quality and costs, suits well for families with children, quiet, romantic.thank you. The staff was very friendly. It was clean and a very nice atmosphere. I liked to evening tea offered in the common room. Great value for money for ensuite room with breakfast included. The cabin itself is compact but comfortable enough size as I occupied a twin cabin on my own. I found the free laundry quite useful. Interesting location for an hostel, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, close to the castle and the ferry terminal, cheap price. A reasonably priced and tidy place to sleep before taking a morning ferry to Stockholm. Without much effort the breakfasts could be significantly improved. So far these are disappointing. My husband was complaining a bit about the length of the bed (his height 190 cm). Bed bunks slightly hard. Breakfast could be a bit better(fresh bread), but for the price we paid -it was good. There was no TV, but we didn't need it nor we had time for it. Guest needs to put sheets on by themselves. It took 2 min, so no problem. - Ventilation-unit in the room was a bit noisy - Location far from city center - No kitchen facilities. there were no such points. No cooking facilities. Had to make own bed, no soap or shampoo, but at the price no complaints. Typical ship airconditioning. Paid rent a bike. I have to leave place so soon?. no words. The aircondition in the cabin was very poor and there was no oxygene left, so we were not able to sleep well. location - far from center. The bathroom compartment is actually too small. Perhaps this is because it's an old boat. The location was further away from the city centre than I imagined. It's still in a walkable distance, though, and there is an option to get on the local bus. (About 30 mins from the market square and 45 mins from the coach station.). Far from the city centre, not possible to open the window in the room, "wifi room" was very crowded at some hours of the day. - Broken shower. - Bathroom is too small. - Bad room condition. - The way to hostel is ice-covered and is a bit dangerous. - One small towel for whole stay period. - Poor buffet.
