Two sides with windows to provide great brightness. Wood floor is very comfortable to step on. Baby bed is kindly prepared. Kind instruction by the staff to unload our luggage and park our car at the right place. Great location in the city center, very close to all attractions.   This is a wonderful hotel located in the heart of the city, right off the pedestrian zone. With that said, do not attempt to the front door. Turn into a parking area through the "Red Gate" and you will find stairs in the far left corner leading to the hotel. Parking is about 200m from the hotel because of the hotels great location. He even posted a tripod stand, which we had left behind, to our next hotel. The location is wonderful, right under the castle, the room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfasts very good.   We stayed only one night at Hotel Villa Conti in the offseason on a weekend. The price is ok for that region(60 Eu/night - if you search harder there is probably cheaper options in Pisek), and we were very happy with the overall conditions of the hotel. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the center of town, and there is also some nature trails directly east - Loved sunroom-like room w/ small balony, nice wall color and coordinating bed linens. Breakfast area was so cozy with patterned china. We were made an omlet to order, we felt like were were visiting a friends home. Room very clean with modern ammenities. Very short drive to center. Nice nature preserve next door for long walks.

  I've stayed at this property 2 previous times before starting in 2001. The location and type of "castle b & B" you can't beat it. It's right next to the great historic town brewery.   We liked the accommodation, the room was big, with nice new furniture, with balcony and it was a very quite place even though just few minutes walk from historical center of Cesky Krumlov. Cesky Krumlov is very lucky to have accommodation such as Pension Pod Skalkou available for visitors.
