  The rooms were well-designed and our bed was a true double (rather than two beds pushed together - bonus!). We had a top-floor room under the eaves, which had interesting proportions and a nice view onto Kinsky Park, which is a tree-covered hill next to the hotel.   Absolutely loved this hotel. Didn't know it was a renovated convent. Very close, but extremely quite location. 3 minutes to the castle and about 5 to the St. Charles Bridge. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.
