  After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  Our room was delightful, having a beautiful decorated ceiling and stained glass windows. The room was large and the bathroom was separate. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the front of house staff spoke good English. WiFi was free but was inconsistent during our stay.   We had a warm welcoming by a man who was very informative and helpful. All the other staff members were mostly great also (a family is running the hotel). Our room was fantastic with a great view. The fitted carpet was a bit dirty but the overall impression of the room and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was quite basic (coffee, tee, 2 different kind of juices, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, ham, natur - Excelent location, 5 minutes from the castle. Great to come back from the city at the end of the day, chill out in the bar next door and then come back to the castle to enjoy the night. The way to the guesthouse (it's not a hotel) is a little steep (Nerudova st) so if you are coming from the metro station or even from the square nearby, hold your breath (beautiful little street though!)! Breakfast simple but nice.

  I LOVED everything about the Domus Henrici Hotel. The location is excellent...very quiet but still close to the attractions. The breakfast was nice with soft classical music playing in the background. At times, I felt we had the hotel all to ourselves! The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Bed comfy. Room was large with large bathroom. Location was near the castle. And because it was up the hill, it was quiet (except when the men started weed-wacking at 7 am on Sat). We got lots of exercise walking up the hill instead of taking the bus (wore off the good Prague beer). Enjoyed Karlstejn's castle, too, and the Plzen Urquell beer tour. Check the English tour times before you go. We struggled with the German :-)
