The location is on the outskirts of the city, which we wanted as we were driving, but a nice area and public transport cheap and simple to get right into the city centre.

Very nice location, on a hill overlooking Prague and a stone's throw from Mozart's villa (Bertramka). The building must have hosted a state guest house from the Communist years. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and a grandiose Soviet feel to them. There is a haute cuisine restaurant downstairs, which gets a fair share of clients from outside (mostly locals in the know). The menu is top class and the prices very reasonable.
