We stayed at the Apartments Rogosic in Mid Sep, the perfect time to visit, Hvar was lively yet not crowded. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Vesna and her Husband, who picked us up from and dropped us off at the bus station. We were also offered a choice of apartments for no extra cost. Our hosts were amazing, in fact they could not have been nicer, on one occasion we were given a lift to the nearby village saving us the effort and expense of arranging a taxi. The Apartments offer.
所有评语 » The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful. There was no kettle in the room and I do love my cups of tea/coffee and when asked they provided a kettle. There was a full size fridge for our sole use, just outside the door. We were provided with beach mats for our use during the week and given a lift downtown when we left to get our ferry. The location was good from our point of view - a walk into town in one direction and a walk to the nearest beaches in the other. ( uphill on the way ba. This residence was an excellent value for the money. When we arrived on the ferry, we were promptly picked up at the station, which is so valuable at the end of a long travel day. The residence is in a perfect location up the hill from the beach, down the block from the grocery store, and a 5-minute walk to town (Note, ladies, wear low heels or flat sandals because parts are steep). We were right across the street from a hotel that was over $350 per night. The view from the balcony was amazin. The apartment was at a brilliant location with the town 5min on one side and the main beach 5min on the other side. Supermarket was again a 5miin walk- although a relatively flat walk. The hosts were brilliant- they were waiting at the bus station to drive us to the apartment. On the way back, our ferry was at 1:45 and the checkout at 10- they came and met us at the bus station with our luggage which we kept in the apartment. The balcony was small but brilliant- we sat there every morning to ea. Family were wonderful. Couldn't do more to help us. Upon check in they arranged for us to get a better room on the top floor (recommended as you get more evening sun). Great for self catering and only 5-8 minute walk to town (bit longer on the way back uphill!). beacj is 5 minutes (10 on the way back). DO NOT BOTHER with the Amfora hotel over the road as one night is the same price as 5 at Rogosic and the apartments give you so much better value/character. You can use the beach the hotel . The owners of the hotel are very hospitable, helpful and warm people. The location is good ,hotel is on a hill at the back road of hotel amfora. You can reach the beach and center of hvar (ferrry port, restourants, bars etc are also there) by ten minutes walking. The rooms are clean and have enough facilities but your expectation shouldn't be too much. Also at the day of we arrived to hvar they picked up us from the center to the hotel so we did not need to take a taxi. Apartments Rogosic is well located, however, on arrival to hvar it is recommended to get a taxi until you get your bearings. There is a supermarket only 3 minute walk from apartments (away from main town direction). There are steps at the bottom of the road of the apartment to the waterfront, which then leads on to main square and ferry port for boats to split- so very well situated. Staff were very friendly, helpful and keen for you to enjoy your stay. The family that runs the hotel was very nice and offered lots of suggestions and help. I had a nice room at the top floor with a view of the water. Had my own fridge (although it was outside my room) and I was loaned a beach mat and towel to take to beach. The hotel was very quiet as it was the end of September and there were not many guests but I imagine it would be much more lively in the high season. The location was perfect for us. Up the hill from town so view was great and very quiet. The owners were very gracious and gave us an apt for price of room. We had a kitchen and balcony. They let us leave our packs there all day we were leaving and waiting for the ferry. There were great walks around the shore and the town is beautiful. Very good value we thought. The family running the place were very hospitable. Provided laundry service free of charge which was excellent. Staff provided recommendation of onward travels plans and a welcome water cooler as you arrive at reception. Good location if you are not looking to party all night as it is slightly out of town up a hill. Good sea views. A little difficult to find, you have to swing right around the town due to one way streets. Very welcoming hostess and a pleasant room with a view over the islands and water. Use of the shared kitchen was good and a large balcony too. A fairly steep walk down to the town but not too difficult for anyone with average fitness. The owners were wonderfully polite and friendly, happy to help withy anything. Collection from the harbour and even a free beer on arrival! Spacious room with very large bed. Apartment is definitely on the best side of the harbour, was a 5min walk from supermarket, beaches and shops and yet still very quiet at night. We had a wonderful stay at apartments Rogosic. The staff were amazingly friendly and offered some great recommendations for day trips and restaurants.The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely balcony with a good view of the sunset over Hvar. We liked it so much we stayed another night. Very very nice apartment and and top of the city centre. Very close to Old Town. Completely clean and the owner family is very polite. If I go to Hvar again I want to stay this seaview suit again. It was very confortable and we felt ourselves as if we were at home. The owners were really nice and very helpful (collected us from the bus station) The apartment was basic but had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was amazing! It is located on quite a steep hill but the walk into the town or beach is 10 mins. The apartment was spacious, clean, and just a 5 minute walk to old Hvar town. The family who own the apartment were very friendly and helpful. This apartment (along with one in Sibenik) wer the nicest places I stayed at. I highly recommend staying here. Lovely clean apartments with friendly and helpful staff. Good room size and comfortable. Good value for money - would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again. It topped off a perfect stay in lovely Hvar. Vesna and here family are wonderfully helpful and generous. The hotel is in a perfect position 5 mins out of town with breath taking 180 degree views. Rooms are great with all you need. I would defiantly stay there again. The location of the hotel is perfect to get to Hvar Old Town, Beach Clubs and the harbor. The family were nothing but helpful, before and during the trip, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time!. The staff were very friendly,English speaking and helpful. Location is excellent, just a short 5 - 10 minute walk down the hill to town but far enough away from the night life noise. Our unit was quite large and slept 4 adults. The large terrace was great, with nice view to the ocean. Fabulous view and a great terrace. The full sized kitchen was well equipped for anything. Nice pickup/drop off service to/from the bus depot.Overall a lovely stay. terriffic view. Good location. Helpful staff that were willing to help, kitchenette with basics. Nothing. Nothing really - I think I had misread the details and thought there was self catering so I did miss that a little as eating out was expensive and being a vegetarian, very limited, beyond pizza!. No hairdryer in the room (they might have them at the desk, though). The bathroom was a little outdated, which we thought was quaint, but others might be put off. It was clean and worked great, so we were happy!. It is an uphill walk of 5-10min to reach back to your apartment from anywhere. But given the terrain of the city, this will be an issue with most apartments. Shared kitchen and no tv in room. Wifi strength was quite weak. Everything was great for the cost. Cooking facilities were limited; only cutlery and crockery was provided. Uphill walk from town. Hvar is expensive in general. nothing. Not quite 5 minutes walk to the main port, it's further and all uphill. Approx 10 minutes. This was fine for us as we a fit couple but this could have been highlighted a bit better in the description and directions could have been better. Nothing. The room was a little bit small. The kitchen didn't have everything we needed. Nothing. Towels not changed in four nights. Furniture and bathroom outdated. Building work seemed to be going on outside which woke us up a couple of times. Balcony had a poor view of the sea. Nothing. Size of rooms. The decor is quite dated and the bathroom / shower facilities could do with an upgrade but they were clean and functional. The apartment is a fair hike back and forth to town and the beach. The shower is a bit cramped. We were on the top floor - 4 flights up. dated furniture ,big old tv didn't really work dirty old sofa. Communist decor and facilities. Staff English was a bit weak, no shower (only shower attachment), room was dated and needs refreshing.
