  The room was really spacious, and we had a king sized bed which is always nice! Staff were also very friendly and helpful - we booked all our tours through them. The resort is a little out of town (which is really nice) and you can either catch a bus, cycle or taxi (aud 5-6). It is also near a bunch of tourist attractions.   Stay in River View Hotel. Yangshuo is quite a small city but I really liked the location! Very charming place with a very nice balcony just in front of the Li River. Next to the hotel there is a small local market where you can buy souvenirs and stuff and it is also 5 min walk to animated streets with bars and restaurants. I stayed there 3 days and they helped me organize the visits I wanted to do with the time I had (if you want to fully enjoy the city, the - The location was good -- close to the action but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise -- it was on the river. Reception staff, particularly Angela and Lucy, were very helpful -- arranging several tours for us. Room and hotel could use some tlc, ie we had a cracked sink, water leaking from our toilet and some broken tiles in the bathroom. However, value was pretty good for the money that we paid.
