  The staff were consistently helpful and friendly; I arrived very early in the morning but they allowed me to change to a different kind of room so I could check in early, and to have breakfast at the impressive buffet. Many of them speak English, some very well. It is always possible to find at least one person at the reception, who speaks English (English in Kunming is not common). Personal is friendly and cooperative.
