Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money. The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe. It is really close to the harbour, I could walk everywhere essentially. I think people complaining that there are homeless people.....listen they are not evil they are just people going through a rough time.

The television didn't work, but who goes to a beautiful city like Victoria to watch television anyways? I would have liked a coffee maker or something, maybe a microwave, but at the same time I never asked for one. Shortage of wash cloths and hand towels. Probably due to place being for sale. 'court order sale' sign on building less secure than on previous visits (had to make sure doors closed) seemed to be low-income housing next door. No drink machines for juice or snacks and no store in the immediate area. Minor issues though. Bad making a lot of noise. we had dirty towels . The toilet in 127 was leaking onto the floor, and although notified immediately, nothing was done about it. Towel was dirty, the walls had marks on them. Maybe there was bed bugs?. There was a three quarter inch hole in the wall next to our bed. There was a three quarter inch hole in the floor in the corner next to the window and two mouse traps beside it. Never heard anything or saw anything all night but a little disturbing. I would not call this a three star hotel, more like a two star. A bit dowdy and run-down but adequate a place to kip for the night. Asked for some drinking glasses and was given the last two plastic ones. Dirty. Sheets and blankets stained with small holes! Small rooms. Furniture worn and in dis-repair. Exterior of building needs paint. Not enough face cloths, almost no cutlery and no cooking pots in kitchenette, but staff did correct this for us. The crumbling exterior of the building was very off-putting, as was the "For Sale By Court Order" signs. There were zero facilities for tea/coffee. The shower was completely un-usable with almost no flow. The corridor was so dark you couldn't see which way to put your key in the door. General lack of maintenance and poor cleanliness. no cups no room cleaning stayed 2 nites. - lil shabby - dont book untill you are left with no other option - old rooms - not properly maintained building - 1950's furniture, old and rustic. Hotel windows had no sceure locks on them. The first room we stayed had the odor of cat urine, which may have been seeping in through the crack in the window or was in the carpet. In any case, we asked to move to another room, which the staff was able to do for us. Worst shower ever, no coffee in room (machine was there, no cups, no coffee), no glasses in bathroom, minimal channels on old TV. Unclean Whole building looks like it's falling apart. The room was very basic. The kitchenette had no pans cutlery etc and the shower was dirty. Everything was in need of a good dust. Police patrolling the car park nightly was off putting. Old cockroach in the bathroom (yuck!). dirty, run down, transient heavy, supposed to be a 3 star hotel, maybe a 1 star at best. The holes in the walls, the holes in the bed sheets, the filthy curtains, the filthy bathroom, the filthy corridors, the filthy stairwell, the broken elevator, the registration confusion, etc. I have stayed in nicer places in war zones. everything else. One of the worst hotel I have ever seen. One philipino woman in front desk was absolutely uncooperative. Most disgusting motel I've ever stayed at. Dirty everything... Linens, walls, towels, bathroom, blech. Slept in my clothes. Fire doors propped open. Toilet not clean. Curtains falling off rail. No water cups, no tissues, rough & paper-thin towels in bath. Few TV channels. Alarm clock unplugged & outlet somewhere under bed, unaccessable. Wild stink and filth. Looks like our suit were NEVER cleaned. We can advise you before you are going to bed, to lift sheet and see mattres, we have never seen this condition of mattress even in garbage. Even homeless people couldn't live here, because of dirt. We can't imagine that this condition of hotel could be possible in civilized country. The hotel is dirty and bad equipped. First of all our tiny room was very, very dirty. We left two days earlier than planned. Very run down. Place is for sale. Anything would be better. Not close to anything. no service, no towels, no toilette paper, no daily cleanup service, no phone, no refridegerator. too little for the price. no surprise to those of you at the desk. The next door neighbors partied and weren't quiet, they smoked, there was just a bed, bathroom and tv, no coffee pot or phone, they said there was high speed internet and that didn't work. He said he wasn't going to honour the agreement I made through your company at first because they didn't have us on there reservation list, but then we got the deal of $62 +tax. The room was stinking and the beds had bed bugs ..! The staff was. Really non friendly ..! Watch out guys ..! Never book this hotel ..! I booked this freaking place and its non refundable so be careful .!.
