We were just stopping by to sleep in before continuing our drive. We would be quite happy to sleep just about anywhere, so we were very surprised how spacious the rooms were. We booked 2 rooms with one bed each, expecting to share one of the beds. We got one room with a bed and a coach and the second bed with two beds. That was a big bonus for us! The breakfast was good too. It is always nice to start a day with a breakfast :) The owners were very friendly. They did not speak much English but i.
所有评语 » Loved the beds, loved the duvets, loved that my kids each had thier own (Bunk) beds. The breakfast, including fresh homemade egg bread, was far nicer than the standard "continental breakfast" and greatly increased the value for the money! Although the proprietors don't speak much English, they make the effort and seemed to appreciate our efforts to speak French. I think we both learned a little from each other! :). I agree with the review from John from London, Canada. The room was small, but modernized and extremely clean. I liked the owners. They were kind, helpful. I was most happy with our breakfast. It was the best breakfast we've had in 14 days of our travels - with freshly baked croissants, home made bread, very good juice... it was the best surprise :-). Very pleased with all aspects of this motel. Owners were very nice and helpful. Beds were comfy (loved the duvets) and the room (though small) was spotless. Breakfast the next morning in the sun-filled main room was delicious and not your typical hotel continental breakfast. The owners take a lot of pride in their business. Owners very friendly and helpful (even with very little English); room was clean, bright, colorful and love the duvet on the bed. Very quiet. One comment I got from my friend was that the walls were too thin so she could hear people snoring from neighbouring room. I did not have the problem. So just something to keep in mind. Not a big deal if you travel with ear plugs :). The room was tiny, and the bathroom fan was noisy. The fridge in the room on our first visit (on our way down to Ontario) was so noisy we unplugged and didn't use it. It was gone on our way back. It wasn't a problem for us, (we had a cooler) but might have been for a young family or anyone who might have been counting on having a fridge in the room. Can't think of a negative thing to say. The room was small, but we expected that for the price. There was little not to like!!. Everything was fantastic. Room does not have coffee maker or microwave. Nothing. Everything was great. the motel is on the far eastern edge of town. As I was travelling by bike, and tired, this left few restaurant choices. Quite a way out of town. Room was a bit small. Slight motorcycle road noise. Nothing ... it was perfect. Asked for no room service and received it anyway, returned to find door unlocked. Also the occasional smell of the paper mill was unpleasant. Being able to hear the people in the neighbouring rooms. The walls can use noise insulation. the room was small.
