The B&B is located in an old row house in old St. John's & is an easy walk to the center of town. It is clean, the breakfasts were healthy & plentiful. The hallways are a little creaky & the bathroom door squeaks but I guess that goes with being in an old building. The bed was comfy & the location was quiet.
Location!! Parking pass included, view is fabulous, so close to The
Spirit of Newfoundland dinner theatre and afternoon screech-
ins(don't want to do it at midnight) Price, check-in procedure

Fabulous location. We walked everywhere, needing only a cab to and from airport. Hiked up and around Signal Hill- upper and lower battery, from Quidi Vidi, to and from MUN. Fantastic restaurants within the adjacent busy downtown streets.
Great location, though be prepared to walk up a monster hill. Clean, comfortable acommodations though the house is showing its age. Lots of access to breakfast foods and coffee in a serve yourself style.

There was really nothing I didn't like.
It is for sale. Not even close to wheelchair accessible.
Never saw the staff or owners so it seemed a bit awkward -- would have been nice to have some personal contact and be able to talk to someone about the city. The other guests seemed equally confused.
Common rooms could have been cleaner i.e. appliances in kitchen smeary and lots of dirty dishes in sink but area was clean for breakfast in the a.m. Living room area shabby.Decor Lacking wall hangings. A comfortable chair in our room would have been nice, and a bedside rug would have improved the rooms appeal.

On Booking this was described as a B&B, in reality this facility, a Heritage Building, is in the process of being sold and is now shown as a Hostel - which it is! Had booked for three nights but cancelled and moved first thing after the first night. No staff on site AT ANY TIME. Breakfast was do everything yourself, if you could find it. Our room needed a MAJOR upgrade to meet standards.
This was not a B&B. It was a hostel. Nobody around for breakfast. Had to do your own dishes which is a big problem as most people just rinsed their dishes and left them in the rack. They didn't use soap. If the owner is not there to wash dishes then they should have a dish washer. I boiled water and rinsed the dished we used. They have a health issue there.
