  We were disappointed the first night that a few things weren't working (24 hr hot tub, our tv, and our coffee maker) however once we expressed our dismay, the staff worked quickly to rectify it and in the end our opinion was changed and it turned out to be an amazing experience.   I loved the beautiful location. It is so tranquil. The bath tub is so easy and safe to get out of, which is really saying something for a senior. Seafood dishes were excellent!! - Was there for my brothers wedding. Service was excellent, beautiful setting. Wonderful staff, good food.

Taking the shuttle over to April Point on Quadra Island is a fun option - and yes, cruise-ships, tugs with their barges, fishing boats and pleasure craft all add to the charm.

  We had asked for a ground floor room which was not available but as the hotel had an elevator that wasn't a problem. Nevertheless the hotel upgraded our room for us which was finished to a very high standard. It had high ceilings and a kitchen area and very modern bathroom.
