  The hotel staff went out of their way to make our visit special. My husband made some requests because we were staying for our 44th anniversary, and the hotel staff went beyond what he requested. We were treated like royalty by Gerd, Tewalde and Mohammed, and we have already planned to return for our next anniversary. Th - We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at the RoyalYork. It was our winter get away the year.( Didn't have time for an island trip ) We took the train to get to Toronto, so we just walked across the street. The Royal York is so majestic that as soon as the door men open the door for you, it is like walking into another world. Everyone so helpful and polite. The Elite restaurant was fabulous.   Polite and friendly staff.Great fitness area.Laundry facilities in the suites at the hotel.Old leather furniture. - The front desk staff were very nice. Location very good, right downtown. Room amenities more than adequate.
