This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Andreas and Raphael (co-owners) are really very helpful and friendly, without being over-bearing. They also both speak excellent English too. Our room had huge windows which provided excellent views of Botafago harbour, which is just across the road, complemented by great views of Christ the Reed

The hotel is located in one of Rio's oldest and culturally richest areas - Urca. Located 15 mins. drive from Centro (the CBD) makes it very suitable for quick business trips. At night the boulevard across the road packs a small crowd attending the nearby small bars and restaurants. The place has it all: a small beach at walking distance that you pass on your way to one of Rio's oldest and most infamous restaurants: Bar Urca. The hotel itself is well run - friendly staff and hospitable manager.
