  The hotel is one of only two hotels in Rio de Janeiro, that have direct access to the beach (without having to cross busy road). The location is great providing easy access to both Copacabana & Ipanema beaches. Perfect for families. Rooms 601 & 603 are twin bedded and Room 602 has a double bed). If you a - Great place to stay in Rio. We went for the pricier rooms that overlook Ipanema beach and I'd say they were well worth it. Stunning views of the beach/bay plus dramatic sunsets. The hotel is small and calm-feeling. Having breakfast (really delicious) out on the terrace by the beach, watching the morning surf/beach exercise crowd, was a great start to the day. All you hear at night are the breaking waves - quite a feat for being in a city of 9 million people. Friendly and professional staff too,
