  Having tried many hotels in Mechelen, and needing to stay when a conference was one, I booked this hotel. I arrived late in the evening, but my key and paperwork were ready, so I was able to nip into the dining room before it closed. The menu is small, but has some unusual items to try.   The room was enormous with lovely decor. The owner was extremely helpful. Parking was fairly easy on the street.   We were instantly felt welcome by the friendly accommodating staff. The breakfast the following morning was of good quality and served in our room provided a lot more privacy - great when travelling with children.   Nice and large (red) design appartment, good lights, comfortable living, large shower. The owner is very friendly and brings the breakfast to the door. Walking distance from station and to central Mechelen. - It was a very nice place te stay. Very friendly staff and a delicious breakfast.
