Clean , comfortable, amazing view, friendly staff. Strahan was one of my favourite places in Tasmania. The people were so freindly. I did a four hour Harley Tour with Big Al and got to see so many lovely places that I would like to revisit. Had I only done teh Gordon River Boat tour and the Wilderness Railway I would have felt I had done all there is to do in Strahan, but the bike ride showed me so much more. We will definately be back and look forward to staying at Strahan Village again.
所有评语 » The room was comfortable, though rather dated. As we looked out onto the carpark we took advantage of the Hilltop lounge area. On the first night the bar was open, the fire stoked and we enjoyed a drink while watching the light fade and the lights come on in the harbor. On the second night, no bar, no fire, no staff, but the view more than made up for it. The room was comfortable andclean. The bathroom was spacious and the extraction fan was efficient. We only stayed for one night. Had it been for longer I suspect that storage space in which to unpack belongings would have been limited. the location took advantage of the layout of the village and bay. The staff were friendly and warm. The facilities were clean and comfortable. the food delicious and well presented. Loved the Wilderness railway & Gordon River Cruises value for money staff very friendly good at their jobs staff at booking centre great. Location was wonderful with a choice of waterfront with a balcony and views to the. Water or on the hillside with even much better views. The view from our room which we upgraded to was magnificent.Only book a King room with a view otherwise it would be quite ordinary. We loved the accommodation The buffet breakfast weas outstanding. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and happy. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful; and the accommodation was spectacular particularly the views. Loved the cruise on Macquarie Harbour,and the rail trip from Queenstown back to Strahan. We loved the location and the friendly people and the wonderful Wilderness Cruise. Room with an excellent view. On site bar and restuarant were good value. The view from the room was very nice over the harbour, we had the most awesome breakfast of anywhere we stayed in their restaurant with gorgeous views. Staff at restaurant were excellent. Location. Local attractions are fantastic, a nice place to get away and relax with all the walks,tours, boat trip on the eagle with world heritage tours was amazing and options to go 4wding on the beach,. Buffet dinner meal good. View great. Not a lot. Position. Excellent position. We had four days in Strahan and I wish we stayed longer, but we will just have to come back. Our room was on the ground floor, next to an exit into the car park. In the absence of any air conditioning init, we needed to have our bedroom window open, BUT smokers congregated at the exit doorway, just outside our room and cigarette smoke came in the open window. We found that was disgusting! I suggest that you should have a policy that requires smokers to stand at least 5metres from the building when they smoke. please advise in your brouchures, advertisement and when bookings are been made that mobile phone reception is based with telstra only and not other services. limited eating places. When we booked with letsbookhotel.com the confirmation came back with "Buffet breakfast included" which was NOT the case. The booking in procedure. The staff member was very curt and didn't explain anything to us and we were in and out in five minutes. The reception area wasn't busy at the time as there was onkly one other person and they were being attended to by another staff emember. Nothing. No local TV albeit cable TV great. Nothing at all. Access to our room would had been difficult in rain especially with luggage. If you are not a adventure person no much to do. The price is to high when compared to like accomodation elsewhere in Tasmania. Room located over bakery which meant disturbed sleep. Noise from adjacent room. No restaurant in low season. Food was boring. Colour scheme brown and yellow yuk. Very dated . Clean. Nice location. dissapointed that didn't have water veiw when bookings where light. Wasn't happy with two single beds making a double bed. Made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. No staff when we arrived, no reception on our phone to ring anyone,finally found a letter in their box for us with mud-map of how to find the place. You had to enter from back of building walking up a steep hill to get to it (not suitable for elderly people). The restaurant you had breakfast in the morning was up about 150 steps. Elderly people should be warned to not stay here, lucky we were able bodied. - Can hear next door conversation - A bit over price - Need to update furniture. Well overpriced. We have stayed in better accommodation for half the price. Wi-fi should be free Credit charge on accounts should be discarded Picture quality of television was appalling. Television was old and well behind modern technology. Little extras like a bottle of champagne on arrival,, No joke, would have made our stay much more enjoyable. We were really disappointed . The room was so dark! Suffice to say, We won't be staying again. The buffet is too expensive an a la carte menu should be offered. The price was not mentioned before we booked. We were shocked by the cost. Restuarant only offered a banquet buffet for dinner. Too much cost for what we wanted. Breakfast only average. Noisy fridge, could hear neighbours easily.cramped bed area. No assistance inunloading our vehicle, a trolley or something would have helped us to our room which was located a distance from our car. We also had no drawers for clothing, staying 4 days in that room wasnt very nice.we also were led to believe we had breakfast included but we didnt.overall, very disappointed. Our room needed air conditioning. The fan didn't cool he room. Lack of easy access to units above shops - difficult for elderly and infirm to use rear walkways. Also units are very cramped - too small for a couple. Too expensive. Expected better. Found the staff quiet rude and not at all helpful, the restaurants were not at all good value and the food not that enjoyable either. was charged for a bottle of wine in restaurant instead of glass of wine. Not good. Rooms very outdated and dark. Orange juice at breakfast was off. False advertising that hilltop accom was really far away from everything. Room was very basic and no atmosphere and very expensive for the money paid. The worst Tassie accom we had during our trip. Room size, room layout and room price. Part of my deal included breakfast which .On leaving I was told I had a bill for 2days breakfast which I had to pay also they do not have flat screen tv any where on site .Not happy. When i booked the accommodation I thought it was in the main street. We found the reception was in the main street but the rooms were a fair hike up the hill. It was very warm weather, the room very stuffy, no aircon only a fan. Reception area smelt of mould Receptionist misinformed us about local dining options Long, poorly lit outside walk to room Room poorly designed Synthetic blanket (yuk) Not well cleaned.
