  While we were at Hawley House there was only one other couple visiting. This gave us an experience of indulgent pampering. It feels very special to have an excellent chef cater for so few. That came as a massive bonus. Did I mention the cuisine? It was excellent! Each meal was an education in flavours, textures - The house and gardens are beautiful and in a lovely position close to the beach. We loved the decor, especially in the bedroom. Although we only had breakfast the quality of the food was excellent. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We really wished we could have stayed longer.

  New owners Ross and Leanne very welcoming. Rooms very comfortable, very oldie worldly. Handy, in the middle of town. I left some things behind and they are sending them on. We would go back again. - I understand the current owner had other priorities, and I would stay here again, but not for 4 days.

The hot water was nearly instant. There was a separate area for relaxing / having breakfast. The poached eggs & bacon I had was better that most an very well presented. Parking was not a problem. I'm told by locals that the onsight restaurant is well regarded.

  There was a confusion regarding a spa room and we were upgraded with no problems as soon as we discovered mistake. We also had another issue which the owner/manager sorted out straight away with not a problem. We were very impressed. Accomodation was comfortable. Most spectacular is the penguin night-view, for which the resort staff is very kind to light up the penguin walking path so can have a fairly close view of penguin go-home scene. Highly recommended.
