  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

  Location was perfect! Really nice spot, just a little bit away from the main hwy, but walk distance to the beach. And just next to Bus/Trancit Station (Greyhound). POOOL is perfect!   My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much! The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure.   Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip of Cairns, but within walking distance to the esplanade, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who recommended some nice tours. Clean premises and well planned layout with plenty of toilets, showers, kitchens and common areas to relax. Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great! - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

  A very nice place to stay. For the price, you cannot get a better place than this. I will mention the things that I liked: 1. Its like a house, you have the chance of staying there, cook have your own thing, has microwave, stove, kettle, etc. 2.   Great location. Friendly staff. - I was upgraded and had a room to myself, it was a clean place, I only spent one night, it was quiet and the staff were helpful. I would stay there again. Located across from the lagoon and close to all amenities, easy to get to from the bus and shuttle to the airport was easy to arrange and cost $10. Good place!
