Super market was below the hotel. Bonus is that its very quiet and staff are very helpful - Central location. Secure parking. Staff followed up with a phone call (which we appreciated) after check-out re our complaint of poor TV reception - advising he had changed the cable and the reception was now fine. We weren't aware we could contact staff re the TV reception (as we thought it would cost us a "call-out" fee) considering it was the weekend and the hotel reception wasn't manned. We were happy with the cost for the 2 night stay.

  Everything is perfectly clean. There is even no cobwebs on the carport, what is very unusual for Townsville. Perfect attention to detail regarding cleaning. Nothing fancy equipped, but beds very comfortable and kitchen with all necessities. Staff very friendly and helpful.   This was one of the best places we stayed in Australia. Excellent location right on on beautiful Magnetic Island, right on the beach, which you will have mostly to yourself. I had the opportunity to go back to Magnetic Island after my first visit and knew that i would go back to the Arcadia Guest House. The facility has two kitchens fully equipped (if you are in a space without a kitchen), lots of space to hang out and relax with movies and books, a washing machine, the setting is very tropical with birds and all and it's directly across the street from the beach and just a short walk

  They were great! We had an unplanned late arrival and I had been unable to call to warn them. When we arrived they were closed and I was terrified that we would have a problem. We were given an additional room with extra bathroom which was perfect.
