Central Plaza Port Douglas was an excellent find. Close enough to walk a couple of blocks to downtown. They have extremely well kept rooms and grounds. Pool was a decent size and a great place to relax sounded by Palm Trees. There is covered gas bbq Grill located by the pool with stocked mini-fridge of condiments. The managers, Francesca and Lian were friendly, and helpful; when I accidentally showed up after their work hours it was easy to call and get access to my room within two minutes. I c.
所有评语 » Central Plaza Port Douglas was beautifully hosted and well-appointed. Fiona was incredible: friendly, problem-solving, generous, and full of information. With regard to the facility itself, we loved the spacious apartment, which had everything we could have wanted--from pasta fork to teapot, and from drying rack to conditioning shampoo. The common areas (shaded lounge, barbeque, pool, outdoor dining area) were a huge plus, and made the apartment seem even larger!. Great location - quiet and very close to shops and beach. The unit was spacious, the beds very comfortable and the pool area relaxing. Our older children appreciated the free WI-FI access and made good use of it! We found the managers (Ian and Fiona) to be friendly and very approachable. Minor issues - our toilet kept running - were dealt with speedily. We enjoyed our stay and feel that it was good value for money. We would definitely stay there again!. definate value for money. was not too far to wallk to main beach or macrasson st for eating, shopping etc.we didnt feel we needed a car whilst staying there. tours picked us up at the front door. easy access to the wharf to catch the boat trips.well set out kitchen area, great to have a balcony and also spa in bathroom. reception was very friendly and helpful and would recommend others to stay there. Lovely clean apartment with all facilities. Well maintained grounds and swimming pool/spa barbeque with oil and condiments provided again very clean and well maintained. Fiona one of the managers was very helpful . my husband left some clothes in the wardrobe and she offered to post them back to us. Most of all we loved the new Managers Keith and Sheila. They made us so welcome that we felt very much at home. We loved our Unit and we were extremely comfortable. The Pool, gardens and surrounds were always clean, tidy and very pleasing to the eye. Nice pool, bubble tub and barbeque area - enjoyed using it (large flat plate and a conventional barbie). Easy enough walk into town and the Marina (both a 15 mins stroll). The beds were comfortable and clean and the unit was very clean and tidy. Towels were white and fluffy. The pool was great. We added extra people to the room which staff accommodated without any hassles. The place was clean, bed were very comfortable and good quality linen, car spaces were of a good size. It was at a walking distance to the beach, the shops and the Marina. The Kiwi owners...the square pool which was handy to keep an eye on my young kids...location just outside of town which gave easy access both to and out of Port Douglas. Clean unit with everything you needed for cooking, comfortable beds and good linen, nice bbq area including condiments for cooking, nice pool and spa, and nice people. Very good location, only a few minutes walk to port douglas main street, swimming pool and barbecue facilities. The Apartment was clean and spacious. Very good value. Ian and Fiona were extremely nice and very helpful. Central plaza was very relaxing, clean and comfortable with a great location to the main st and beach. Really enjoyed this place and found it a great value especially for the cost. 2 flights of stairs certainly gave us extra excercise after a walk to the street but ok when you are fit. could be a problem for an older person or one with physical disability to climb over the spa bath for the shower. Nothing to dislike, all good. No complaints - we loved it all. Balconies nice but need to ask for one with sun if that's what you prefer. Being picky - Wouldv'e liked the barbecue area and / or your apartment balcony area to remain accessible after 9.30pm, but I know that the younger families need their rest time - so it is difficult. Because we had 5 people in a 2 bedroom unit the kitchen only had crockery & cutlery for 4. Initial coffee tea and sugar supply was not enough. No padding on settee arms which hurt!. The only thing was that the bed was a little hard. Sometimes the internet connection was a bit weak. no free internet allowance for checking emails, etc. Paid for package for the period we stayed but quite expensive compare to other places I have stayed. Lounge suite and outdoor furniture in need of an upgrade. Maybe update lounge suite. Nothing. nothing. Wish the whirlpool at the pool was heated. Fan in our room didn't work properly. Very nice and clean, but Not what we would classify as "luxury". Lost remote control for TV in bed room. Office not open at all after 1700. No cleaning service for less than a week stay Low amenity (4 coffee and tea bags for 2 people for 5 days!). Additional charge for extra amenity!!!! No lift Noisy. The room was very clean but smelled heavily of ammonia. The pillows were very hard. The AC did not get cold enough. Dark rooms, very basic and bland.
