Friendly, helpful staff; no-trip bathroom (we're both seniors); great shower and fluffy towels; quiet; spacious room. Perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in the area; good breakfast. Love the clean and comfortably appointed room. Better than many city hotels I've stayed in. The property itself is well-maintained, which is a plus. The clean and well-appointed comfortable room. Quietness of the motel. The staff were friendly upon check-in.

Recommend to stay. Quiet & comfortable unit, clean & reasonably sized. Friendly & helpful staff. Made a heap of noise, there were 15 of us, no complaints from neighbours or landlords. Room was clean, nice to have a little outdoor area at the back. Nice and quiet mostly. We loved it here!! Would recommend to every1.. The staff are friendly az!!. Helpfull staff even arriving late from airport. Accommodating!. The staff at reception was friendly and helpful. The help that I had from the staff in reception. Great location great breakfast great room. Size of bathroom Outside area. The staff were friendly and acknowledged us when walking past. Even being close to the New England Highway our room was quiet. Comfy beds Nice warm room. Very little. Screen door to outside verandah was locked; good to provide a key to this on checking in? map showing location of breakfast room on your visitor's guide. Found dead cockroaches in my room, eek! (room 210, check-in on Jan 19). The 'mini-bar' items on the counter top was pretty much expired, so if you think of consuming any items from it, best check the 'Best Before Date' on the package. Advised the Front Desk when checking out, and they were going to get these checked and replaced. Would have liked free biscuits to enjoy with tea/coffee in the unit. I booked a twin room thinking it was a double for my partner and I so we had single beds, that was ok though. The kettle in room 128 was a lil rusted by the lid on the inside..but thats it nothing else!!. The shower. leaving. 2 bottles of beer in fridge has been filled with water. The showers - as a fixed feature if you are short it is hard to have a decent wash as the water is spraying everywhere else but where you need it. The sliding door - needs a fly screen so that you can have the door open when sitting on the small patio and hear the radio. It's not really I Maitland. (1) Air conditioning unserviceable in mid summer (2) Had to open the doors to get fresh air and was eaten by mosquitos (3) No room service (4) No on-site restaurant, but access to a neighbouring restaurant which was booked out on the night of our stay (5) Manager was defensive and argumentative when we complained (6) Advertised as the Mercure "Maitland", but is in fact 6 Km outside Maitland in Aberglassyn. Summary - completely unsatisfactory for the price ($162).
