The rooms are very spacious modern and clean. The balcony was superb place to chill with a drink. The novelty of having a vending machine in the corridor was the 'bees knees' for our daughter! Safe and secure and felt like a true home away from home. Driving around Lismore without a doubt the Gateway Motel looks to be the pick of where to stay,. A brand new Motel that is clean functional and fairly well located just a few minutes walk to the main str. All in all a great place to stay and better value than the Bounty Motel which is around the corner and has open air corridors. Will definitely stay there again!.

Friendliness and efficiency of staff. 9. Overall cleanliness of complex. This is absolutely the best place to stay I have now stayed here 3 times and every single time is a pleasure. If you dont get the time to eat at the restaurant you are truly missing out on an amazing chef and excellent staff probably some of the best I have met. The bed was excellent th cushions where perfect, the layout was simple but very effective and it was very clean and appealing to the eye - it was one of the best hotels I have been in very nice. the location, even though the street is busy during certain periods of the day it is quite at night. central Lismore location close to everything and within walking distance of CBD. Everything about this place was great. The bed was the most comfortable motel one I have slept in. The room was perfectly laid out and the bathroom was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was perfect to relax in with all the amenities you could wish for. The room service was very prompt. A stopover to Queensland. Exceeded our expectations. Great room, excellent air-conditioning and absolutely knockout restaurant - both food and service. Very spacious and comfortable room with a massive bed. We ordered room service from the restaurant, the food was excellent. Good value for money too. The units were beautifully decorated and the bed and pillows very comfortable.The staff very friendly, and we will be back. I liked that it was modern - up to date and that the staff were friendly and in most cases - excellent. The Gateway was very clean, well presented, the staff were helpful, and it was value for money. Spotless and very comfortable accommodation. The breakfast was also first class. The service provided by the Manager and staff and the restaurant facilities. It was very clean and staff where lovely but manager Katie seemed cranky.. the place was modern, and the food was great, and the bed was comfortable. Room comfortable. Everything. The proximity to the Conference Centre and the City. The bathroom was good but I wonder how someone with less mobility would manage having to step into the bath to have a shower. Rooms were light and well set out. The hotel was very central for us. The restaurant was excellent!. Neat generous rooms and bathroom. Close to tourist attractions. The bedding and especially pillows were superb. Modern hotel which is quiet given location. Location and security. the spa. Under cover parking is great but not secured!? We were travelling on motorbikes and a gate to the parking would have been very welcomed. 1. Having to leave. No dislikes. The COST!!! It was way to expensive for where it was! The swipe keys didn't always work in the lift. Nothing to complain about. There wasn't anything. 3 times I got locked out of my room because of my room card NOT working!! Having to walk around to reception waiting each time for cards to "re activate" was clearly not something I was happy with!! We got room service I ordered a steak and it seemed like just a piece of fat with vegetables to spend $30 on a piece of steak I assumed it would be meat and not just fat!. Nothing. nothing. all was good. No make up of rooms on Sunday. queen size bed was a little to small. Having to go to the reception to get milk for coffee. room was not clean, some small spots missed maybe cleaners need not to be rushed to do a good job cleaning. For the time we stayed, there was no hot water Cleaners did not service our room. The rudeness of the receptionist when I commented on the wardrobe space or lack of. The food was terrible - my breakfast was burnt and my dinner overcooked. When our room was made up, it was a very sloppy job. Our beds were not made well and our dirty cups were not taken and replaced with clean ones. The family room was not ideal for a family. We travel a lot and were a bit disappointed. The Fish and chips place across the road. Would not recommend it. We booked a Family room and only given 1 access card and 1 milk. Came back down after checking in to request a second access card, went out for a bit and couldn't get back in because the card didn't work. Very ordinary, no hot water, no coasters, no pen, no radio alarm clock, no jug for water, water stain all over bathroom, smell of smoke from other balconies, no room number on card sleeve. the dust and rubbish under the bed, the sticky stuff all over the counter and all over the iPod dock & that they did nothing (apologize etc.) when I told them upon checking out....
