It is in a central locatiion, close to public transport, walking distance to the shops, wharf and bus terminals. The Host and Hostess are very helpful and friendly. The building is heritage listed and in good condition. Good opportunity to have conversations with other guests.

Having flexibility on a business trip is critical and they went out of their way to accommodate my requests and ensure everything was set up and ready to go. Friendly Staff, Very comfortable king size bed, cheap mini bar, lovely outlook, clean, close to everything, amazing food in the restaurant, we ate there for breakfast & dinner. The food was yum & such great value & the staff were friendly & gave great service. The accommodation was very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our family & friends & everyone else that wants a great value for money stay in Hobart.

We booked an apartment at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel because (a) it was very central to everything, (b) because we grew up on Vic. sheep properties in the 1940-60s and farmed sheep with Tasmanian bloodlines for wool ourselves and (c) because letsbookhotel.com offered great book-ahead specials.

It was on a quiet residential street but only a couple of minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Sandy Bay and within walking distance of Salamanca market and central Hobart. The view and position right on the river. Our room had a window overlooking the river and it was such a beautiful view, and a lift for the luggage carting. The room was very comfortable, with a toaster, microwave,crockery and cutlery for breakfast; a great idea. Bring your own cereal, fruit and a loaf of bread with some butter and you have a healthy breakfast, with the local papers available, one can relax and gaze over the activity on the river while eating breakfast.

Consistent communication from service. Apartment was located close to best bakery in town and Salamanca area. Apartment was clean, fully equipped and washer/dryer much appreciated. From the time we arrived at the hotel /reception on the 15 April
2013 was met by the staff who was courteous and greeted us with a warm
welcome , gave us information on the property and surrounds with wifi
password and advised this was at no cost.
The housekeeping was simply excellent with the room cleaned everyday and linen renewed as well.
We also liked the proximity to Hobart CBD and the restaurants that were at a hop, skip and a jump , could not ask for any better

Staff were brilliant. We arrived on an unusually very hot day (and our room was unfortunately on the north west corner). Even with the fan going, we were unable to sleep due to this unfortunate combination of circumstances. In the morning with all other rooms booked, we decided to curtail our pre-booked stay - staff were extremely professional, even offering to cloak our luggage until we were able to make other arrangements.
