We liked the super-large room. Possibly the largest motel room we've ever stayed at. All staff including receptionist and cleaers were very friendly and attentive. The bathroom was clean, modern, with a huge, huge walk-in shower. The breakfast preparation area with sink was welcome, and continental breakfast of toast, cereals, juice, instant coffee/tea you prepare yourself, is included in the price. The Caledonian is close to everything, a few steps away from Coles, Woolworths, liquor stores an.

I found the say a pleasure the staff looking after the Motel as well as the Management and staff in the dining room of the Hotel. They were there to help and they did it so well. We had a meal at the hotel at night as well as a cooked breakfast in the morning both were very good. The room was large and clean and very relaxing. The staff were really friendly. I asked if I could stay later and they let me stay until 11 a.m. I ate dinner in the bistro. I chatted with the staff and really enjoyed my meal. I stayed in the hotel with a shared bathroom and toilet. I never felt unsafe being a woman on my own. We liked the rooms very big and because there were not many people staying the girl upgraded up to a queen bed each lovely and comfortable. We also liked the kitchenette and the breakfast left for us was good too. Helpful staff on check in. Room absolutely beautiful, roomy and spotless. My sister & I each had a queen sized comfortable bed in a lovely BIG room. Thanks a lot "The Cal" for a great overnight stay. We stayed at the Caledonian Hotel Motel on a Saturday night and whilst our units were facing a main road we would not hear any noise from outside. Also, the in room breakfast supplies were more than adequate. Friendly staff and kids welcomed. Everything in house with good bar and dining for the average traveller and a nice 10 minute walk to The Port of Echuca. My 7 year old son loved it. The hotel is very close to the railway station and is in the center of town and easy walking distance to the Murray river. The facilities were basic, but acceptable. Lovely soft bed with extra blankets (needed them as there was no electric blanket and it was a cold night). Little extras like 2 towels each and some toiletries. Very nice to have the heater warming the room on arrival. The facilities suited the price of the accommodation. The bedding was clean and very comfortable. Firstly, we were booking in late and I rang to let them know, and they left the key for us. Secondly, the room was spotless and very comfortable and quiet. Staff were very friendly, room was lovely and clean & the meal we had in your bistro was beautiful. Will definately stay with you again :). Staff were great and went out of their way to assist, room spacious, clean, excellent shower, slept well, good bed, quiet ambience. It was exactly as described very stylish 4 star room not connected to hotel so nice and quiet highly recommend stayed in room 3. We stayed in the budget rooms, it was so clean and had brand new linen.The staff couldn't have been better, so helpful!. Big room. Helpful staff. Close to the trainstation. Clean big rooms. not much. if i could say three things which i forgot to mention - this is not a dislike fan in bathroom needs looking at cold water tap in bathroom wont turn off carpet needs a good steam clean. I would have to be really picky. On the TV I had an option of watching the soccer, a lawn bowls competition, the cricket or keno. However, I was staying in an Hotel and this is what they show downstairs for the customers. If I could have had another option it would have been better, but really it was no big deal. Nothing. Nothing at all !. Not having toilet and shower facilities in the room, having to use a communal facility. Shower curtain - sticks to oneself when showering. Maybe a couple of decaff. coffee satchets would be good. Not having a fridge in the room. Carpet needs stains removed. Nothing. Was hoping for a cooked breakfast which turned out to be an optional extra over and above the included continental, of which the overall price was not inexpensive. No free wifi. A bit far from the Wharf in a dull neighbourhood. Evening meal very disappointing. Basically some meals tasted like lunch left over reheated. Carpet needs cleaning/replacing. No clothes hanging space - it was raining! Ladies toilets needs checking for paper. There was no hair dryer in the room and when I enquired about one, one staff member just said there wasn't one in our room, however another staff member found one for me, which was really appreciated. Continental breakfast was thrown in with room but no choice of cereal. Bath tap thread broken over bath and Internet access did not work. n/a. Street sweeper early in mornings. The shower was dangerous as the water did not drain properly which caused the bathroom floor to become very slippery and my 18 mnth old & myself slipped & fell & my daughter hit her head but was ok still needless to say this was a very unpleasent experience for both of us. We stayed upstairs and the room was newly renovated but there was a big paint spill on the carpet just inside the door which wasn't quite dry and the room hadn't been aired properly and the stink of paint was overpowering. slow internet, no wifi connection in room 7, advertised as free wifi but told only get 1 hr free and must purchase additional time. Eventually were given free 24 hr wifi access codes. Nothfking. No hair dryer. No milk left for cereal only enough milk for one cuppa each. The fact that the hotel is sited on a cross-road and the motel units have a road on each side, so there is traffic noise. The shower was a nightmare - a few trickles which varied every few seconds between scalding hot and icy cold, impossible to regulate, impossible to get hair wet. security on windows and doors could be improved. No secure m/cycle parking. Room was undergoing maintenance and was not quite finished but for the dollars and my trip it suited my needs. It is an old building and needs a bit of TLC. Only booked for one night but after loud music started at 10pm just under our room we left that night and decided we'd sooner drive 3 hours back to Melbourne than risk no sleep. The room was in desparate need of redecorating. Wallpaper hanging off the walls, very old furniture. room halfway through renovation, paint stains on the floor and no door no wardrobe. No facility for making a cup of tea!!! One blanket in the middle of winter!. Although the rooms are quite new they are not in good condition. (Fittings off walls in bathroom, fittings were of low quality) The clock radio did not work. The electrical appliance test tags were out of date. No hotel info book, large paper sheet of menu and smaller one for breakfast, both were very used and slightly crumbled with old food or liquid stains on them, rather trashy. most of it, dirty, noisy.
