  We loved our room, a 2 bedroom. It had lots of space with a big shag rug in the lounge area. Very tastefully decorated. Great kitchen area if you wanted to cook. All the essentials.   We absolutely loved the location, the room was so comfortable, the bed was one of the best we have slept in in a while. The bathroom is beautiful and loved the spa bath, the pool area was awesome.   We stay there everytime we come down. I have family in Ballina and I don't like to impose. The Homestead is reasonably priced,close to everything and very comfortable. I haven't tried anywhere else. No need to. - We requested a quiet room as we arrived after an overnight international flight.   From the time we entered the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The renovations really gave you the feeling of being back in the 1920's with plaques giving you little snippets of the history of some of the rooms. Tours were also available. The food was wonderful and in the original dining room of the school. The Hotel is steeped in history, and has been restored to reflect a bygone age. The food is superb, and there is an extensive beverage list. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
