We loved Canberra. As for the Diplomat, we enjoyed the proximity to Manuka, Kingston and the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets - the latter two within walking distance for the reasonably fit so we particularly enjoyed walking to them for breakfast in the morning. The free wifi and the good, free undercover car parking is also great. Liked the heat pump in the room so that we could control the temperature ourselves.
所有评语 » Everything!!! Beds were comfy the shower pressure and hot water was fantastic. I loved how close it was to airport and the lovely Manuka restaurant area. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family as we will be travelling a lot to Canberra as our son is stationed at Duntroon Army Barracks. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful. Even though it had 2 main roads running either side, there was no traffic noise, very peaceful hotel. Also had undercover free parking. We enjoyed our stay in our own city, the staff and all facilities were great, would refer any other visitors to the hotel , very close to station for interstate travellers. All good. The staff went out of their way to help us especially since they had not received your booking. They upgraded us because of the non receival. Their happy hour is very good too. We have stayed in many hotels in a Canberra, but rate the Diplomat as one of the best. Perfect location, close to Manuka and Kingston. Will definitely return. We booked a deluxe queen room and actually got a very comfortable king size bed. The room was spacious and the location of the hotel very convenient for us. The restaurant, we enjoyed our meal, customer service was excellent. Close to the Parliament House, Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) and Manuka Village. Comfort,location and limited number of guests compared to other( and more expensive hotels).Staff all pleasaNothingnt and parking very convenient. Reliable place to stay, close to Manuka and Kingston for great food and shopping, staff at Diplomat have always been friendly and efficient. The Diplomat was close to events we were attending, and the staff were very helpful with directions. Undercover parking was appreciated. The beautiful atrium for breakfast. Our room was lovely: the space in the room, the big bed with electric blanket, the free magazines. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant the room was very comfortable we will be happy to stay at any other time we are in Canberra. Undercover parking. We couldn't turn off the bathroom fan, which in the middle of winter made things cold. Nothing. Nothing! Liked it all. The smallish flat screen TV was in an awkward spot - a swivel arm and a DVD slot would have been good. The toilet also wasn't fastened firmly to the floor!. ? No real 'twin' rooms avail with 2 double beds, stayed with friend in room with (?king) single and queen - this was comfortable though. We ran out of hot water for tea, milk, juice, bacon at breakfast (we came in at 8:30) and it took a while to get fed. the price of the buffet breakfast was a little steep a different pricing would be good so we can eat before leaving. After a long drive we arrived at 13:25 instead of 14:00, (book in time). We waited while another customer was booked in and were then told it would be better if we went and got some lunch and returned after 14:00. Found our room 3019 noisy. Could hear tv from another room. too far out of town hotel too empty and no atmosphere - nowhere for a cocktail in the evening - the girl behind bar was unable to make a cocktail as she was doing a stock take. When I first walked in the room it smelt like foul body order but I was too tired to call front desk and make a complaint so I just opened the balcony. Basin too low maybe it is a room for wheel chair people. nothing. Breakfast was not good value for money, needs to be a higher standard and the service staff need to also have a bit more training, they weren't very efficient or cheerful. No instructions for air com and tv. Bathroom cleanliness Technology very dated (TV viewing) No reading lamp over table and chairs Air conditioner rattled loudly - it was a cold night so heating was needed. reception of digital TV was terrible. Pillows too hard. air conditioning in room was useless. When I originally booked the room I know that it was meant to include a jacuzzi. As we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary I particularly wanted more than a normal bathroom. Couldn't get AFL game on TV. Noise from dining area did travel to room of an evening. If I drink tea or coffee they supplied milk each day. But I did not use tea or coffee facilities, but I did eat the biscuits. Why are these not supplied each day, only on arrival. Trivial I know but.... long hairs on bathroom floor - otherwise it was clean. Free wifi didn't work in our room, no coffee plunger in room. Poor gym & pool. The empty shampoo/conditioner bottles left in the shower from the previous tenants. none. one electric blanket did not work. Some rooms (eg mine) enter almost directly off bar area. N/A. Embarrassing check out with problem of hotel staff accepting letsbookhotel.com special deal.
