A couple of things could do with a lick of paint here and there, but we were entirely satisfied with our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, very hot water and lots of it. Nice to sit on the balcony. Everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Docs, hospitals, banks, eateries, and the city. Some of the patrons of the pub next door were a bit noisy, but not your problem and didn't keep us awake. Even the in-house entertainment on Wednesday night was more interesting th.

Staff were friendly & helpful. we liked how the staff made us feel welcome. they made the extra effort to accommodate our early arrival, which we were most thankfull. I has eye surgery that morning and needed to lay down as soon as possable. Thank you. Sorry - not a lot of the above applied to me. Booked in late one morning and slept most of the time before leaving early next day. Only there briefly in a research trip for my current book. The upgrade to a lovely room and the friendliness of the late night staff. The guy on the desk (Bernie?) when we arrived at 11pm was excellent, efficient and friendly. Internet booking was fine, Hotel easy to find and had easy access to the lift for our luggage on arrival. Friendly and obliging staff. Price very competative. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water to the shower was instant and great. Our next city stopover would be here again!. The staff are very friendly without being over familiar. Have great memories as it had been over six months since my last visit. I was impressed. The room was clean and nicely set out (twin share) Room service from the restaurant was perfect, you could not fault the steak it was perfection. The location was ideal for walking distance to CBD, without being too close. Value for money overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water in the shower. Oldie but great value for money. Would stay again and recommend. after a long and busy day at a Hospital it was really good to have a lovely meal and a good bed and was able to take away breakfast with us. The lady who works on reception (Michelle?) Is one of the most polite and helpfull people that i have met. She is an asset to your hotel. The lady on reception was so helpful couldn't do enough! service was exceptional. Also the food in the restaurant was good. - The Person at the reception gave us very good information to the City - Close the City centre (walk distance). Location to the city; friendly lady on the reception desk; having an ironing board AND an iron in the room;. The view from the room. The room was quite spacious, comfortable and the bathroom & shower were fine. Very comfortable and easy to be there. Easy walk into the CBD and close enough to shopping and dining. when we told them the mattress in our room was very bad, they replaced it immediately witha new one. The only thing I would say is that we thought the prices on items in the bar fridge were extremely expensive and that was the reason we didn't take anything from there. Noise of road but to be expected in the middle of city. No hairdryer in room. Rooms very old/dated but attempt to modernise has been done. Chose to use stairs as lift was a bit noisey. Only problem for me (and this was reported and the offer of changing rooms was made) was that the fridge did not close. Nothing, I was happy with everything. Bathroom needs to be renovated as it is rather old and the shower leeked onto the bathroom floor. - a bit noisy. The elevator - it really needs to be fixed before someone hurts their back from all the jolting when it reaches each floor - seriously! No hair dryer in the room. Trying to find the garage. Street noise, the lift felt unsafe. bit old and tired. Room I stayed in second time was across the hall to the smokers balcony, smell of smoke came into room every time we went in or out. thankfully our doors and windows to balcony opened so we could air the room quickly. Restaurant wasn't open at either times we stayed. The lift could be checked out as it was quite a shock when you stop at your floor. No coffee making facility in room. The water stayed in the shower and sink for a while following use. No tea / coffee facilities in room. Nothing. No secure parking The air conditioner didnt work properly and shower head was broken. No coffee making facilities which is a must first thing in a morning !!. Would appreciate tea/coffee making facilities in room. Very few powerpoints in room, fairly limited breakfast menu. Rooms are clean and tidy but looking a bit tired. Nothing.
