Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. A great welcome from Kath began our stay. Everything was well thought out and catered for. It was beautifully clean and tastefully furnished.The views and location were stunning. The Wallabies came on the veranda in the evening which was a lovely addition. We cannot praise it more highly. We will definitely come back. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything needed and more. The views are spectacular and your front door step is a nature lovers dream - wallabies, all sorts of birds and, if you are lucky, a whale passing along the coast. The Freycinet peninsula and the Penguin tour are must dos.

We really could not fault this accommodation - very clean and comfortable and a great location overlooking the ocean. Would stay again. I liked the deers on the lawn in the morning and the owner was friendly. Unit was clean and well appointed. Great views. Nothing. Nothing serious but we didn't see any animals.!. Could have been more crockery in the kitchen. Need to update the TV. I can't really fault the accommodation but the laundry could do with a drier. a bit torn out cooking ware and somehow not enough clean. nothing. 2 only dinner plates, bread plates, necessitating need to wash up dinner prep prior to serving meal. Wine glasses provided were more like champagne glasses. No internet in the apartment. No fault of the owners, but Telstra reception masked by the nearby mountain. Nothing. Having to leave after only one night. Booked a bath but room did not have one. This was main reason for choosing this place so disappointing. Decor extremely dated. fire place was broken and could not use. That at a place called Ocean View Retreat we couldn't see the sea from our room, which was very small and crowded with 2 people in it. No staff on site on arrival. Owner confessing he was there under duress - makes you wonder how guests are supposed to like the place if the owner doesn't!. Overpriced no Ocean View, why did they put us in the Studio when other rooms were available. Did not like the excuse it is a short season to make money. Bathroom odour was too bad. Dirty kitchen table.
