Что говорят
Location is good, in an area just like you see in the movies. A lot of
restaurants and cafes around. Convenience stores nearby. I had my
breakfast at Gramercy Cafe, just across 3rd Ave. Made me feel very New
Yorker. Close to l line, a trip to either downtown or uptown would have
you change line. Still very short either direction. The hotel is very
clean, staff is great, although I can't say I interacted too much. I
had a single room for 1 night and a double for other 3. The single was
very smal. все обзоры »
The location is fantastic and the price unbeatable! Very near two metro stations. The place is very well decorated and very, very clean. I shared the toilet and it was perfect, never had to waited, they have two toilets per hall, and they are very clean. The only weird thing was that the night that I arrived, at midnight, I arrived to an empty lobby, had to waited 40 minutes, and finally I found the doorman drunk, behind a chari!! He was very grumpy and had to struggle a little to get my room, .
We couldn't fault this hotel if we tried, it's quite amazing. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's situated in a gorgeous neighbourhood that is packed full of New Yorkers and not tourists. The buildings, bars and cafés in the area are great and it's just a 5 minute walk to Union Square and the Subway. We thought the shared bathrooms would be an issue, but they proved us wrong. They were constantly clean and easy to use and were available a lot of the time. All in all, this hotel.
This is only my second time staying but the attention to cleanlines of the shared baths is outstanding. The rooms are comformtable, always clean, and provide just the right amount of space. The safety measures appear to be outstanding, fire alarms, access to two stairwells, smoke detectors. While there 21-22 Dec all new hallway carpeting was being installed. Safe baggage storage and prompt retrieval when moving out. Sink in the room makes all the difference. Inset lghting over sinks and desk are.
Cozy, very comfortable hotel. Perfect location/price. Close to two subway stations, one of which connects a lot of lines. Close to a lot of restaurants and pharmacies/shops. Very clean, even shared bathrooms were spotless. My room was perfectly done and had everything I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Music, playing in the elevator, added special charm to this beautiful place.
Basically this is like a cheap European hotel. The common areas were
very clean, which is important since that included the bathrooms and
showers. Lots of character, in a gorgeous 120-year-old building, in the
coolest hip neighborhood in Manhattan. Hundreds of restaurants and small
cultural attractions within a mile or so. You could wander for days and
never even have to take the subway.
This hotel is good value for money in the Manhattan. Shared bathrooms are outside the rooms, but they are clean and only some meters from rooms and never occupied. There is special gentleman living in this hotel who tried to sell his stuffed raccoon (bought for hundred and quarter) to the staff. This disscussion what I had great honour to listen would have made top 10 documentary.
Liked the atmosphere... Seemed European. THe location was also good.
Felt safe on the street and I was lucky to be able to park my car there
on the street for the entire 3 day stay! Thought I would not like to
share the bathroom, but that turned out to be no problem at all.. This
coming from a person who has to get up twice in the night to use it! I
will stay there again!.
I was looking for a low-cost Hotel in downtown New York and I found
hotel 17 I was pleasantly surprised
The rooms are small - hey its New York City but they are clean
if you are traveling with children as I was you might find it a little disconcerting to be sharing a bathroom on the same floor with others...but things worked out fine.
I've stayed here once before & was happy to reurn. Staff are all so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Great old-wrold atmosphere. Lots of dark oak and chintzy fittings. Fantastic location - close to subway, buses and an easy stroll to the East Village, etc. Yes, the bathrooms are shared, but they are always kept spotless.
The location was easily walkable from the 3rd Ave station (L train) and the Union Square station (L, N-Q-R, 4-5-6). The bed wash comfortable and in-room sink made the hall bathroom not problematic. The room was clean and the hotel felt very safe. I will definitely consider this hotel the next time I visit NYC.
The hotel was beautiful, completely efficient, has fast and easy booking, was very close to union square and not a far hike from anything. It is also located on a nice clean fairly quiet street with several on street parking options right around the corner. Couldn't ask for much more!!.
Location & price and that they're (so far) a bed bug free hotel... which is a HUGE plus in NYC, where so many hotels are infested with them. This place was a GREAT deal for the $$$, clean and basic - although the bathrooms have to be shared, the staff keeps them spotless!.
The hotel is close to Union square with the yellow and green lines and at the same time remains a bit in the back so it's quiet.
The Hotel had a baby crib which was offered to us at check-in and was very useful to us.
The rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean.
Good rates for NY, quiet location for NY but easy to walk or get the tube for all attractions. Restaurants very close and excellent cafe for breakfast across the road. The rooms are also spacious by N Y standards and the hotel itself is of heritage appearance.
I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT
HOTEL 17 from the Staff at the desk (james is particularly good)and the people who clean, this time I found Louis, who didthe bathrooms regularly to
be superb The hotel is INCREDIBLY Quiet-I don't get how this can be so, but it is.
I was a bit worried after reading through many mixed reviews, but the hotel exceeded my expectations. Big room with a TV and a safe. The shared bathrooms were really nice and clean. Staff was nice and helpful and the location was great.
Good value for money. Style of hotel is kind of old European style with
heavy dark wood and wall papers, looks nice. I have seen similar ones in
France. Nice location, half a hour walk to down town, subway also near
by. Clean, no bugs.
They let me check in a few hours early, great price, clean rooms, immaculate bathrooms, excellent location, and I absolutely loved the gothic/midi-evil feel and design of the interior. This is my go-to hotel when staying in NY now.
Fairly close location to Union Square and the subway station.
Cheapest decent hotel with single rooms I found on letsbookhotel.com, although at 130$ a night, that's still not cheap.
Provided an iron and ironing table for free!.
It was close to the concert venue I was going to. Also, it's only 3 blocks away from the nearest subway. The location seemed relatively safe. The price was good for being in Manhattan. Overall, I would recommend staying here.
Good location and price.Nice interior decoration. Looks better than in the pictures. It's almost perfect if you are there to see the city and you need the hotel just to sleep, take a shower and keep your stuff safe.
location (close to the subway, walking distance to the main attractions)
friendly and helpfull people at reception
great breakfast place just 1 minute from hotel (Grammery caffe - corner of East 17 st. and 3rd av.
This hotel comes with a great price tag for New York city and you are so central you can walk everywhere in New York. It was nothing special but just exactly what you need when you are exploring the city.
The location was great. I felt part of a neighborhood. Easy to get around the city.
The room was okay, condensed it a good word. I wasn't in the room very much so it worked for me. Very quiet and safe.
The hotel room was small but nice and cosy. The bathroom was outside of the room, in the corridor, but always clean and available. I am going to stay in the same hotel while visiting NY in the future.
It was an excellent price for the room. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean. I thought sharing the bathroom would be an issue but we never had a problem. We had a great time in NYC.
The room is small, but pretty cozy. Free safe box in the room. The shared bathroom is not really a problem.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you just need a place to spend the nights.
Liked the character of the building with its historic architectural detail.
Like the neighborhood with Gramercy Park and Stuyvesant Park nearby and lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Staff courteous and helpful when questioned. 21/2 blocks from subway. Very little noise carryover from adjacent rooms. Shared bathrooms were clean and no waiting. Great value for the price.
Great neighborhood. Very clean, accommodating and helpful staff. Good location.Old building had a modicum of charm but then, I stayed on the first floor. Can't say about the upper storeys.
Simply great! Location is 5 minutes walk from/to L line subway stations Union Sq and 3rd Ave, kind and professional staff, clean room and bathroom, everything worked perfect!.
Everything is fantastic, especially the location. I can walk to Time Sq and Empire BLDG, etc within half an hour. It's also safe that I don't worry get home late by myself.
Fantastic location to base oneself for visiting new york. Great bars and
restaurants close by all which are reasonable and not rip off places
like around time square.
Staff is accomodating, have now stayed here 3 times and have no complaints at all, great location and so cheap for nyc!! would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Very quiet, clean, excellent room cleaning service. In a quiet 1 way
street but close walking to Union Square which has all amenities,
subway, shopping, eating.
The place was clean and neat. The staff were very helpful, and were able to print some of my trip documents for me. My room was secure and had a good safe.
The hotel was like a Victorian ambiance very quaint. It was very clean and I was very impressed. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will come back again!.
Good location, close to the subway station. I was able to walk to most major attractions. Although the bathrooms were shared they were always very clean.
Facilities are very clean, shared bathroom are always clean! There is a sink and mirror in the room which is great! Room size is pretty big for New York.
Excellent, Extremely Friendly Staff!
CLEAN, even the shared bathrooms are spotless.
Budget Friendly.
Great location, Right in the middle of NYC.
We have stayed at Hotel 17 several times, always clean. It is centrally
located so easy to subway and short walks to intersests.
Very clean and tidy . The shared bathrooms were not an issue. Would stay here again and thoroughly recommend to everyone.
- Location, is perfect, near Union Square.
- Quiet, you can truly relax and sleep well.
- Very clean.
- Excellent staff.
the location of this hotel is very good. We can easy to go to the subway. And the staff of this hotel is also very nice.
Helpful, courteous staff Cleannothing I can think of, well organized room. User friendly appliances and facilities.
It was relatively comfortable, the bathrooms were always clean, the room was a bit bigger than I was expecting.
Nice tree lined street, Clean park across the street. Old churches, public trans. was good, pizza was good.
Old world charm.almost stately .good helpful and efficient concierge.location.Woody Allen filmed here.
The location was perfect and the staff was OK. We also were able to store our bagage at the hotel.
Cold weather and the windows are not perfectly insulated. First night it
was pretty cold inside, but then they seemed to increase the heat, and
this was not a problem anymore. The windows however need some fixing.
would change size of toliets,.
i sid like everything.
There really isn't much to dislike about hotel 17
it's just not typical of American hotels as long as you can keep your mind on this perspective you will have a great time
You sure can't beat the price.
I can not think of a single thing. Be aware it is a shared bathroom hotel (which is why it's such a good deal). I have no problem with that - some folk might.
We visited in early March, and the room was pretty cold. It wasn't an issue for getting to sleep, but I definitely rushed in the mornings.
The corridor at our floor (3) smelled strongly, but it wasn't felt in the room.
No en suite but having said that didn't c anybody else use bathroom the whole time we were there. Not enough hangers or hanging hooks for towels etc.
the fact that my room does not come with a sink, but......and that there is no GUIDE for the TV channels and they don't seem to get CNN or ESPN. Is it fair
to complain? Well.....
As hotel was full, it happened that bathroom was often occupied (but
still clean and ok). You can hear somebody walking in corridor.
Rooms small. This location and that price it is actually unfair to
expect more :).
All of the bathrooms on the 7th floor were out of hand soap. Couldn't wash my hands. Other than tha everything was excellent!.
Elevator is old and you can miss it as it doesn't ring when it's
on your floor.
There wasn't a sink in one of the shared washrooms. Also, I wish soap was kept in the washroom instead of me always having to bring some or use the sink in the room. The elevator is a bit slow and old fashioned.
No sink in the room. Not much to complain.
bins in the room weren´t cleaned during our stay anytime.
There was a load clanging noise a few times during the night which woke us up. I think it was the heating coming on. Otherwise it was great!.
There was no adjusting the temperature. They had to turn off the radiator. And lighting was an issue. No light next to the bed. I would definitely stay there again but would be prepared.
There really isn't anything we
didn't like. The next time we stay in NYC we will be staying at Hotel 17.
Half of the shared bathrooms do not have a tap or a mirror. This is pretty annoying.
Light bulbs in the lamp and over the sink were out but when reported someone came to fix it.
Air conditioner was VERY LOUD.
Shared bath, but I didn't really mind it and it was very clean.
The heating is too hot.
The weather!!!.
The staff in the reception desk were a bit indifferent to requests. My
bedside light stopped working on the second day, when I left 3 days
later it was not fixed. I booked a 6.00 am wake up call, it never
happened. When I told the receptionist he said "Well I heard it go
off here!" & carried on working on his computer!.
Only thing which was an issue was one bathroom which didn't have a sink to wash your hands. Apart from this no problems.
I stayed for 3 full days and my room was not made up on any of those days.
Spotty WiFi.
Not really a complaint-- but hooks in the bathroom to keep clothes while
showering.
- I don´t really have a negative comment. I really like this hotel, at least as from the solo traveler´s needs and point of view.
Couldn´t say how good it is for a family trip.
nothing I can think of.
the water pressure in the showers wasn't very good.
Bathroom down the hall.
The hotel is a little bit dated, although well maintained.
