The swimming pool was awesome ! Kids loved to stay their cause they love it really , location was close to the groceries and the Main Street at the town , the room size was good enough for 4 person , we were 2 adults and two young kids , stuff were amazing and super helpful, will stay @ this hotel definitely again. The size of the rooms with balconies was excellent. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well as your people were super nice in the restaurant. We liked the shuttle bus. We were glad to have a place for our car haulers.

Facilities were clean, and beautiful! They were attentive and prompt when we found that we had a missing remote for the tv! Answered all questions quickly and politely. Free wi-fi! Spa toiletries that were awesome!. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. The buffet breakfast was great as well. I look forward to staying here again when I'm in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant. We ate there once - didn't again. Food plates(room service) were left on the floor for days. Don't you have bugs? (We didn't have room service.). Bathroom was so small you could barely turn around! A little difficult to access via service road. Parking limited at the time of our visit!. I had a bit of difficulty reaching the hotel via the train and ended up taking two buses. Once I reached the hotel, I had to walk a great distance in order to reach the main entrance since all of the other entrances are fenced-off. I realize that this is a security measure absent having staff available to monitor the premises. It took 3 nights to finally get a coffee pot that worked and caffeinated coffee. The answer was: we ran out of caffenated coffee/we don't have the right coffee for the coffee pot in your room - not a good reply for someone in the hospitality business. Very frustrating. Nothing. Attached buildings are not marked so it is virtually impossible to find your building either on foot or in a car. Most outside doors to buildings are unmarked and locked, so it is difficult to find your room and mostly impossible to park near some rooms. Very long walk on foot to get to some rooms with only one small, difficult to find elevator. Definitely not for the infirm or handicapped. A/C sounds like a 747 idling for takeoff (Room 1402) I ate at the restaurant and was given a table by the kitchen; they had a guy drilling something in the kitchen; eating with construction noise was disgruntling. They would be better to put up some temporary screens and move people down to the far end of the restaurant. The rest was very empty so staff were running large distances and it lacked ambience because everyone was so spread out. no porter to receive baggage at door or to take up to room - arrived in the evening which may have affected staff levels Houston has not got a lot going for it in my view. Room was clean, but hallways need a facelift. Elevator didn't work. Towel bar fell off wall, Face mirror broken. Trouble speaking with restaurant to get a food order in. He did not understand English apparently. Someone came to my room at 8 am trying to get in with their key, and they were not housekeeping, although I had asked the night before for late checkout!. the cost for the rooms were a little high for an older hotel. No comments here. Small rooms, poor lighting in bathrooms, we left something behind and have been getting the run around trying to get someone to check to see if it was turned in and they are not helpful about this at all. Entry door did not have a good seal, ( to the point that light actually came in the around the seal) pretty noise(but you expect a certain level when staying at a hotel). parking. Very busy lounge. Bad smell of old rug. Stay out by court yard nice but not like tower. Dirty bathroom, poor A/C function. I wish I would've known the Rio suites is separate from the crown plaza hotel. The rooms were a clean but the building was older and way secluded from the rest of the hotel. It made us feel like outcasts. I was told total prie would be 485.00 but ended up pay 565.00. I understood the reservation to include the taxes and fees. but maybe thats my misunderstanding. The ac was not working in our room. surrandings. Paying for parking for a 2nd vechicle. Didn't really have any dislikes, would stay there again. I thought the doors entering the buildings (not the tower) were in bad shape. They give you a very poor first impression. The hotel is nice but those doors look bad with brushed on paint! Sorry!. Very bad service @ the Lobby bar on 2/12/13 approx . 7:30PM. Although there were very few people , It took the bar tender(a young woman) 35 minutes to serve me(15 minutes to get the drink I ordered). When I got up to go & told to forget the drink order she started to prepare the drink(3 feet from me). I told her to stop as I was going to the front desk to mmake a complaint. which I did!. Breakfast buffet each morning was adequate but on reflection I'll have breakfast elsewhere If I stay again. Elevators would not work right, they would get stuck , doors do not lock to the building anyone could go in and out. Hotel had lot of noise in the pipes when the showers were running no matter what room. Noise woke you up or didn't allow you to sleep properly. If that could be repaired it would have been a good stay but this was not the case for what they are charging. room very small for the price. Details are being overlooked. The floor in the bathroom is worn. The small step from the A staircase to Building 2 tripped us both more than once. My husband has lung cancer and the walk from the lobby to our room was very taxing on him. There was no one to help with the luggage. Need to start focusing on your details. I purchased my reservation online at a discount. When we checked into our room we discovered that it did not have a window that opened and my daughter got a panic attack (we had traveled from ca and she will be attending Rice Univ). We were given another suite, but had to pay the regular price. Wifi did not work. Guest services was not very knowledgeable about surrounding resturants. Beds were VERY uncomfortable! Needs new mattresses!. Small bathroom. I didn't feel safe. I wanted to use the exercise room but it was out of the way. Scary location- One way in- 8Ft fence is probably necessary but makes you aware you are in a bad neighborhood- THE HOOD. I have booked two rooms, which on my arrival at reception they charge more 476 usd for each room by my credit card. For three nights, when we check out the bill was 416 USD.for each room.so when the hotel will return extra 120 USD,to my accout. Why they are charging extra money in advance. Facility was in poor condition and outdated. Very expensive for the quality. Dirty room.. Front desk not very friendly and welcoming. No coffee in room, and called room service and no service within an hour. Parking, has to be the worst I have ever experienced! Entirely over priced..... Would categorize as 2/3 star at best, certainly not a 4 star.. Dead cockroach in front of my door, musty smell. Barking dogs,smoke from balcony below coming into my room. I was given a room in building 6 where my partner, checking in at the same time was in building 1; 3 of the fitness machines of 7 were not functioning; the heat was inadequate. shower made strange noises, hotel felt old, room was uncomfortably, bathroom was out of date.
