Beautiful location close to the river - nice pub and beergarden with river view.
Excellent breakfast to choose from a menue (was included in my room price) - plus a little buffet.
Very friendly staff - got some good ideas for the vacation in the UK with my family this summer :-)!.
Informal and laid back but staff efficient and professional. Huge room, would have preferred bathroom to shower, but everything clean and fresh. Wonderful view of the River Thames (Isis); bit of noise emanating from restaurant but that stopped at 23:00 when bars close.
Very busy pub which is not surpising as it is beautifully located by the Thames.
Staff coped well with the amount of customers and food arrived promptly both nights. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.
Perfect location for our family walk along the Thames path.
The room was excellent for our one night stay with a lovely view across the river.
Food and drink very good.
Warm, dry welcoming. Nice chat with owners. Shelter before noon for Thames Path wet trekkers.
Lovely and picturesque. situated right on the bank of the River Thames. Food was gorgeous.
Great location - we were walking the Thames Path to Oxford.
Great food and free wifi!.
We liked the room overlooking the Thames and being able to walk along the path a bit.
Clean, friendly staff and nice breakfast. Perfect location along the river!.
I liked the location which was on the walk I was doing, therefore perfect.
Comfortable, wonderful location, welcoming staff and good value.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Beautiful location.
The excellent location and friendly staff.
Bar manager Alex was very helpful.
Nice relaxing atmospher.
The superb location.
the location, nice sheets, reasonably priced menu
Some good members of staff, in particular Steve and the dear lady who served us breakfast.
Perfect location beside the river and near some lovely villages.
The staff welcome, the spacious room and comfortable bed.
Food is good.
it can get very busy and it would be helpful to have a reserved table for staying guests for evening dinner if required.
Silicon sealing in the shower of my room was not in a good clean condition.
According to staff information the rooms are planned to be refurbished / rebuild during the upcomming winter 2013/14 (make 6 out of today's 7 rooms) I have some understanding for the situation.
My aching legs after walking so far!
No dislikes at all regards the staff and Rose Revived. Brilliant.
Having to wait 10 mins to get a drink as they were obviously understaffed in the early evening. it seemed like the solitary barman was not only taking food orders but was also cooking it and bringing it to the table!.
I booked expecting to pay, I think it was £67.50 but when I got the email it referred to just one person not what I had asked for: 2 persons 1 room. It became approx £77.
Also, in the Rose Revived there was a notice by the bar/reception till saying 'Double room £67.50' (no mention of 1person only) The man said he would mention it to the Proprietor. We paid the £77.50. letsbookhotel.com should check this out as it is disappointing and unfair.
If I have to say something negative , not all rooms have a toilet in the rooms , but that is all. But it was not a problem for me.
No mild on the beer pumps!.
No adverse memory.
Vegetarian breakfasts were a bit short on portion size.
Queues at the bar could be managed better.
Bit to hot in the pub and sat right next to a radiator do did need to pop out side to cool down a bit.
A long delay in serving the main course - but the hotel made up for this handsomely.
There was a strange smell in the bedroom possibly coming from the drains. Some of the staff members were verging on rude, one young man in particular did not make eye contact when we spoke to him and acted as if we were speaking a foreign language. He was off hand and off putting, almost a joke.
The room was clean and tidy but very dated. Quite expensive too for what you get. Breakfast was average too.
I also got woke up quite early by workmen outside my window. All the manager could do was to blame the workmen - no apology was offered.
If you've got that amount of work going on in and around the place, you should close for a few days rather than subject guests to that amount of noise and disturbance.
The shared toilet
The queues for the bar and food
The one hour wait for food
8.00 am earliest breakfast time at weekend.
The toilet is crazy loud and you can hear the music downstairs until the
pub closes.
Saniflow toilet was noisy and leaked... It also had some mess Down it that wouldn't flush away, shower went scalding hot without warning and burnt me, then wouldn't switch off... Decor was tired and room was damp and cold. Carpet was torn exposing carpet gripper.
