Cook's Quarters was faultless on many counts: the location was perfect walking distance to everything including the lovely Pannett Park; the accommodation was well-maintained, impeccably clean and beautifully decorated; the hosts were wonderfully adaptable to your needs during your stay and cannot do enough for you; the breakfast choices are exceptional and all are home-cooked beautiful meals to an extremely high quality. Fantastic little family owned B&B where the beds were out of this world! Very comfortable, we had such a hard time getting out of bed we missed the breakfast in the morning. The room was immaculate and overall the B&B was very clean. So clean that we make ourselves go up the upstairs to our room without taking our shoes off, out of curtesy and afraid to make a mess because it was so clean! Definitely recommend this place. It took us around 10 mins to get into central whitby on our day t.
we had a wonderful stay at cooks quarters our host Lisa was lovely she looked after us all perfectly. The breakfast was huge and scrumptious and Lisa made cakes and hot beverages in the afternoon. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Over the road from cooks quarters is a children's play area which was brilliant for little ones. Would definately stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.
All the previous comments were spot on. The homemade cakes each afternoon were amazing....especially the carrot cake. I wanted my parents from NZ to experience a traditional English B&B while visiting the UK. I am so glad I chose this one - lovely house with gorgeous rooms. The family room was especially lovely. From the moment we walked into Cook's Quarters we were made to feel extremely welcome,Lisa showed us personally to our room which was amazing.The breakfast was so big and tasty, and Lisa's homemade cake in the afternoon was delicious. I would have no qualms in recommending Cook's Quarter to anyone, and we will be returning there next time we visit Whitby.
Everything. Clean spacious family room, lovely breakfast, useful facilities including DVD player in room and a selection of games, ideal for small children. Nice touch was the fresh coffee and cake in the afternoon. Owners welcoming. Excellent value for family of four. Location was great as well. We highly recommend Cook's Quarters.
Lisa was most helpful, my wife asked for fruit for breakfast and we were presented with the most tasty fruit salad the next morning.
The main breakfast is something to die for if you like the traditional sausage egg and bacon.
Everywhere was spotless and comfortable, a great place to stay.

Everything was fabulous! The room, the delicious home cooked breakfast (which was nice and hot) the surroundings and Lisa the host. The cleanliness and decor was superior to some so called 4* hotels I have stayed in. Would recommend staying here to anyone and we will come and stay again.
We stayed here on 14th October and it was excellent. Very clean and lovely bedroom. We were also offered tea or coffee plus a slice of homemade cake on arrival. The English breakfast sets you up for the day so all in all very good. If you are looking then you need look folk no further.

very friendly, large and very tasty cooked breakfast, free coffee and cake in the afternoon, clean smart room with very comfortable bed and lots of pillows - this is the first hotel on our list when we return to Whitby and thoroughly recommend it.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at "home" Lisa & Nigel did there upmost to ensure our stay was their upmost importance!
The afternoon tea, was something to remember, Lisa's cakes were one of the reasons to return there!.
lisa, was the perfect host, free coffee and cake in the afternoon was a special treat. the room and bed comfy. located away from the town centre (10 min walk) made it very peaceful at night. all in all perfect!!.
Very, very clean. Very nicely decorated and modern, but still retaining the feel of the original building. Very good breakfast and big! Afternoon cakes between 3- 6 pm were an added bonus! Very welcoming host.

We loved Whitby and the Cook's Quarters was a great base. Welcomed into the B & B as a guest in their home. Great breakfast. Easy walking distance to the Whitby pier etc and accessible to the abby.
Everything about the Bed and breakfast was great, nice welcome, very very clean, lovely king size bed, nice and warm, the biggest breakfast ever, added extra bonus homemade cakes in the afternoon,.

The only very minor improvement we could suggest is a proper waste bin/basket in the bedroom as the one in the bathroom was tiny.
