Everything!!! Upon arrival we fell in love with the Old Forge, being welcomed by Tim and Lucy and a chocolate brownie with tea and coffee makes you feel at home straight away. The work, love and passion that Tim and Lucy have put into the Old Forge reflects in their personalities and is infectious. The whole place is quirky and vintage....the rooms, the cars, the décor and memorabilia. It was the best cooked breakfast i'd ever had and cooked fresh. It's been both our most favourite place to stay. The style and attention to detail in the rooms is wonderful. We've stayed in the Shepherds hut and the b&b room. Both were fantastic. Beautiful setting amongst hills. Horse and donkey in the paddock with hens running around the yard. Local produce delicious breakfast with apple juice from their orchard! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Have stayed twice and will be back again. Can't recommend enough!.
A wonderful place to stay. Our hosts were friendly, relaxed and very helpful with regard to a specific interest of ours relating to the area. For those interested in restorations and vintage car enthusiasts, a good place to visit. Our room was very comfortable with an abundance of hot water and the breakfasts were excellent.
