With a great location only 8 minutes by train from London Bridge, this family-run inn offers quality accommodation combined with the atmosphere of a traditional English pub.
The Wishing Well is known locally as a great place to stay. Well-appointed bedrooms sit above the cosy pub, which also boasts a games room. Enjoy a game of pool or darts, or watch major sporting events on the big screen TV from the Chesterfield sofas. If 2 major events occur at the same time, a second screen is available.
Due to its location the inn was often used as the setting for the successful TV series, ‘Only Fools and Horses’. A photo of ‘Delboy’, signed by David Jason, sits above the bar.

The hotel was clean, cheap, comfortable and best of all the staff where brilliant. We called for directions and they came and picked us up and it was only around the corner. They couldnt have been nicer. The value for money was amazing. Hot showers, warm comfy bed, clean room and fresh towels. What more could you want for the price? Easy access to London via train or bus. If you are an American in London and you don't have cash for a fancy hotel, and you want to avoid places that resemble a Holiday Inn in Ohio, this is a fantastic place to stay. Real pub. Really comfortable. Really fun.все обзоры »
friendly staff, easy reach of the city centre by bus. nice staff...great area!. Albeit a bit small, the room (double en suite) was quite comfortable for two people and was enough for what we paid. We didn't need any frills, just a place to stay during the night so this proved to be exactly what we needed. friendly welcome, easy to find, on bus route, spacious room with good cotton sheets, good, big bathroom, nice towels. Not far from station, late check in, calm street, clean beds, breakfast very basic but ok, fresh towels. cleanliness, big and nice room, nice pub downstairs. the pub. ... Tony from the staff was really nice guy... also the staff keeps that place tidy, clean towels every day, they use vacuum cleaners every day in the hall and in rooms - which is not typical for low price range hotels... good value for money...After spending the day in the London Bridge area of London it's only a short train ride to Peckham Rye. For the price and location it's perfect if you just want somewhere to sleep and get up for another day of sight seeing. Simple and clean. Close to the city centre and excellent value for money. The hotel staff was very polite. When we arrived it was their first day they were the new owners. It was a little bit chaotic but the staff will fix it! They will do everything for you!. The Location and Flexibility.Friendly staff, 10 min walk from Peckham Rye rail station, Bellenden Brasserie is over the road and has very good and competitively priced food. very friendly staff. They had not received our reservation from LetsBookHotel.com, but they foundus a room anyways. The price for 10 days was one of the cheapest you canfind. It's in walking distance of several chicken restaurants,McDonalds, and kfc, which are some of the cheapest food you can get. It's also in walking distance of the Peckamplex movie theater (rightacross from McDonalds) which has reasonable prices. Friendly staff.nice staff. the cafe across the street. Nothing really except that the linen and towels were clean and it seemsa nice area and is convenient to London. a bit loud at times. Too many stairs, and stairs were very small making it hard to climb up (especially if guests are elderly or with a lot of luggage). Creaky bed! No bedside light, no chair, no kettle or toothmug (but could have found essentials in breakfast room if we'd looked). Other guests had left a mess in the breakfast room when we came down. Tea bags in open basket. Perhaps a jar would keep them fresher? Not quite enough cutlery or butter.Shower pressure, breakfast room could be tidier. the breakfastroom. ... well, this room where you can get some breakfast looks like some storage, but with some minor paint work + table cloths and marmelade in small packages (instead in jars) etc. this could be a comfortable place too... The breakfast area was more like a hostel rather than a hotel. It is self service, and you have the choice of toast, cereals and hot drinks. Some of the areas were not as clean as I would have liked them to be, but for the price and being so close to the centre of London you can't complain!. Breakfast wasn't anything exciting. Empty dishes left for a while on the table. Loud noises until 1-2am.Room was a Musty and shower wasn't that good. Reception is situated at pub, so when we came in, the staff were very busy - many clients at the pub. At the bathroom shower was broken, it was really hard to take it.Party in pub's back yard (beer garden) went on till 2am. Following night pub's live music went on till around 1am. Rooms basic, no drink facilities, rooms clean but in need of refurbishment. a little beat cleaner in the rooms and more light. No fan or ac so it was really hot. The area was not very nice, room was quite dirty (although the bathroom was alright) and the pub meant it was loud way into the night. I ended up leaving after the first night even though I had paid for a second (and was overcharged by £5). Would be alright if you really want to save the money but would not recommend if you are travelling alone.no tube station. The zone is not very recommendable, there are people everywhere begging you for money and when I tried to get money from an ATM someone said to me that he saw some people following me and to take money somewhere else. The first night, someone opened the door of my room using keys and when seeing me inside suddendly went away. The night after the fire alarms ringed and nobody care.mouse traps under the beds, the carpet was filthy, the water leaked from wash basin across the floor in the bathroom, room was far too small for 3 people and you would not hang your clothes up in the wardrobe. There were no facilities to have any sort of drink, i.e. not even a plastic cu, the heating did not work, the decor was very shappy, holes in carpet and in bedding. There were no staff present at breakfast, no information about where to leave keys.Yes THe room I stayed in did not have even a mirror. It had an old chairlike you would find in a dump, horrible stains on the floor. YTHe toilet/shower offered with this downstairs room was used also by the peopledrinking at the pub and when I went in in the morning to wash someonehad got sick into the wash hand basin, I had to throw some water from abottle over my hands to wash then and try. Rooms are in 1st floor right above the pub (same owner) and couldn'tsleep until 3 am, poor neighbourg, rooms was decadent and not veryclean (found somebody else's hairs in the toilet, shower),continental breakfast consists in some cereals, jam and bread, their1st floor is actually the 3rd by stairs!! I went with my 70 y/oparents u can imagine!.
