Family room was a good size for 3 regular sized people. Rooms included snacks and drinks that could be purchased (just like regular hotel chains, which was a nice surprise). Beds were comfortable and bathroom was bigger than most private run hotels in London (i'm mainly referring to the ones around Padding station).
Breakfast was also good. There was a fair variety of pastry (ie. breads), fruit, cereals. They also had eggs and beans and both tasted as they should.
Location was conveniently cl. все обзоры »
The room was small but cozy and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was quite good. WLAN worked well and rooms were equipped with waterboiler and free tea bags & instant coffee. I really enjoyed the little time I spent at the hotel.
I really enjoyed my time at the hotel and can honestly recommended it for everybody who wants to stay at warmhearted and cozy hotel with a good location.
The cost-performance ratio is very good (double room ~80€ end of
September). The team is very friendly. The room is quite clean with a
tv, minibar, hair-dryer, etc. There is even a 240v socket in the bad (I
forgot to bring an adapter!), So I could recharge my phone. For the
laptop this didn't work. The hotel is very near from the dlr and
overground station Shadwell. The dlr takes 16 min to ExCeL and the same
to London Bridge.
Convenient both to the Shadwell stop and the overland train, which was handy after a long day of travel. The next day, we walked from there to the tourist sites-- not a short walk, but we intentionally wanted to see the neighborhood. Desk staff was very kind. Room was fine, large armoire if you're staying for a couple of days and want to unpack a little. Clean, simple and low key- a good deal for the money.
I liked everything: convenient location near Tower of London; you could get there easily by walking (the journey took apprx 15min.) Underground station & DLR are nearby (5min walk,) you could get anywhere from there. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable, as was everything else. Stayed there for several nights. Therefore, my opinion has substantial grounds!.
Although location a bit out of centre but as it's near to subway and monorail so it's convenient too. The breakfast is kind of surprise as it's much better than my expectation! The room is clean and so as the living room and breakfast room. The staffs are helpful and friendly so basically I'm totally satisfied with my stay.
Absolutely perfect for the purpose of my visit. Location just suitable to visit my family, tube is round the corner. It's middle of nowhere and quite deceptive at first but once you enter the hotel and your room you realise it's clean, comfy, perfectly decorated and welcoming. Yes I certainly recommend this hotel to you.
dockside hotel - unpretentious hotel but quiet room, the TV worked and everything was very clean. The choices for breakfast were much better than I expected and the staff members were very pleasant and obliging. And it's in an interesting and historic, though little known, part of London. Excellent value for money.
Excellent hotel, free wifi which is great for a business trip, clean room, comfortable bed. The facilities seem a little basic compared to a Premier Inn, but when I priced them up the Premier Inn was three times the price! For a room that does everything you want at a fabulous price this hotel is hard to beat.
I felt as a female solo traveller that the security in to the building was assuring and I felt very safe being in this establishment. The comfort of the room and the friendliness of the stay ensured that I will return to hotel on my next visit.
Thanl you very much to you all at the Dockside Hotel.
It was very near Shadwell train station and was good value for money. The hotel interior is a lot better than it looks from outside! The shower, albeit small, had a 'rainforest' shower head and a regular one too so you could choose which to use. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choice too.
The interior of the hotel was to a really good specification for the price. Modern, airy design, large, well decorated bathroom, and a view of canary wharf from the roof light. The staff were also very friendly, and showed me to my room, carrying luggage up the two flights of stairs for me.
near DLR and bus station, romantic way of arranging the bed, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, cozy, free and speedy Wi-fi, nice TV in the room and in dining room, really nice ambiance for breakfast, the little help table near the bed, old fashion ventilator instead of air-co.
The staff were incredibly helpfull. Booking a cab for us to travel into the city and Camden Market. I also left a ring in our room, which they discovered and notified me. Location was perfect for me and my fiance to stay. Excellent stay and will definitely use again.
This is an excellent hotel that is very well located. The staff is very
helpful. I stayed there for business and I recomend this hotel to
anybody that want to enjoy a very nice place for few money. Excellent,
excellent, excellent!!!!.
Friendly staff and great value for a London trip, excellent location for the venue we were going to (The Troxy). Good selection for breakfast, we were there a little late so the few gaps in the spread were probably filled earlier.
Excellent little place to stay in terms of budget and comfort, beautifully designed rooms, spotlessly clean, comfortable,
and really nice, friendly staff, I only stayed one night as was near work, but will definitely stay again.
was a hassle free stay,no problems at all. staff were very helpful and friendly.my son and i stayed there for the convenience of going to the o2 arena .we got there and back with no problems.breakfast was good.very good stay.
Dockside Hotel is inexpensive, comfortable and clean with friendly staff in a good location for my purposes. Shadwell DLR station connects well to most of central London via Bank underground station. Breakfast was good.
decor modern
location fantastic 5 mins walk from shadwell station .
Friendly staff
Looked after our luggage before and after check in to allow more time for sight seeing
Lovely breakfast
complimentary beer in fridge.
The location is good, five minutes walk to the underground station and bus station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also OK. The room is not big, but it is clean. The price is quite good.
My second stay, the staff were friendly and helpful accommodating my late arrival comfortably. The rooms are very well presented and you can't fault the facilities, everythjing is done to a high standard.
Small hotel on a quiet street with clean rooms, a nice breakfast, friendly staff, at a very reasonable price, located close to the Shadwell DLR and overground, making it easy to get pretty much anywhere.
I was made to feel welcome on my arrival by a friendly gentleman and my room was very clean and comfortable the breakfast was more than ample for my needs and I will certainley be using this hotel again.
I felt like home. Friendly staff, very clean. Bath room was excellent, water pressure was enough to massage your body. Breakfast could be improved. Calm hotel and could sleep very well.
Room small yet, clean, and tastefully decorated. Delightful staff, breakfast diverse although scrambled eggs finished early on and not replenished . Great value. Definitely coming back.
Fantastic location. Quick walk to the DLR or 30 minute walk to Tower Bridge. Staff friendly. The radiator in our room was leaking and it was fixed really quickly with no problems.
This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. Friendly, clean. Staff very helpful. We asked for a quite room and was shown 2 rooms.
Booking again for next year.
very friendly staff and great little place. Rooms are very modern and clean; ideal for a short stay and if on a budget. Very close to transport links as well.
My room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Good buffet breakfast. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful.
Great value for money, i would recommend.
strategic location, everything is really close. Hotel with good comfort, clean and recently refurnished. Staff is friendly and helpful. Really good fares.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was fair-sized and warm. The hotel was indeed within 5-10 min walking distance from the Shadwell.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is good, only 5 minutes' walk to the underground and bus station, really good price for the value.
Friendly front of house.
clean comfortable room with modern facilities
well stocked mini-bar (non alcoholic) with drinks and snacks at very fair prices.
Very nice small hotel. Very clean, nice decor, all facilities you would need in a hotel. Perfect location! Best continental breakfast I have ever had!.
Very friendly and helpfull rooms were clean ,the first stay in the double room was excellent ,on the return we had a twin room which was VERY small.
Well thought out and appointed rooms for a budget hotel. A good selection of breakfast options for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very nice staff, clean & cosy room, close to the underground station.. good value for money! I would certainly chose this hotel again.
Budget hotel with super-kind staff, very good location close to DLR station (one stop far from Tower Hill), good breakfast and nice rooms.
The place was nice not far from one min away from train which is easy to move from and get back to and the staff were nice and friendly.
Very friendly staff ,ideal location for shopping /hospital . Clean and lovely facilities . Amazing value .Would definately use again.
Overnight stay on business in Canary Wharf, ideal for me ,just 8 minutes away! Room, staff, breakfast all excellent value for money.
Friendly polite staff
Room had everything we needed fridge, great heating, large tv, fan, lovely comfortable bed n luxery bed linen.
Easy transport links to all of central London. Clean room, Continental breakfast is sufficient. Friendly staff and good VFM.
Close to central London, in fact just one DLR train stop away from Bank underground Station. There was free wifi.
Good value for money, friendly staff. The continental breakfast had good range, was fresh and staff were great.
Bright modern communal areas.
Friendly reception and kitchen staff.
Lovely bathroom.
Sensibly priced minibar.
I likes the staff. they were the best. they even offered me their own personal Oyster card to travel with...
the staff is generally okey
the breakfast is good
location quiet close to the center
good value for money.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and although it was small, was warm.
Pillows may be considered a little too hard (I prefer softer pillows), but I suppose this really depends on personal preference. The location seemed a somewhat dodgy, but other than that, it was a good hotel.
I could hear some noice from the hallway but it didn't disturb much as the hotel overall is very peaceful.
The fan of the neighboring bathroom is very loud. The wifi signal was in
our room bad, despite I got a second password for another router. The
surroundings may give a bad impression (many Bengali shops, women with
dark veils), but it is very secure.
Although these did not border me but ppl may need to aware is room size and bed size pretty small and neighborhood seems in minor ethnic area. Yet I'm totally fine with above.
I found the stairs a bit steep but that's probably just age talking!.
Not much.
The mattresses were really soft, as were the pillows, but then again some people like that.
The location, although really near Shadwell DLR, good for central london, docklands and tower bridge area, is a little less than inviting, being located in a residential area with lots of blocks of flats and not many people around. I wouldn't wander around at night alone.
N/A.
Room was abit small for us, but was clean, warm and tidy - so no major problem.
My girlfriend says the bed was lumpy but I didn't notice; the pillows were a little lumpy though, perhaps just old.
breakfast lady could have been a bit more attentive.
area a bit run down
limited tea coffee making facilities- iie not enough milk etc.
The bathroom is a little bit small.
The local area is definitely a bit dodgy.
Being small and inexpensive, the hotel does not have certain amenities: our room was small, the window was single paned, the door lock was not particularly secure, the mattress was not orthopedic. The location, although well connected, is not central. Etc. All little things that were, however, amply compensated for by the low price.
there was no bad points about this hotel.
Fruit for breakfast must be fresh. Better not to use yesterday's one when it is cut!.
Quite small rooms but we spent most of our time out and about anyway.
no pen and paper in rooms however that was quickly obtained by going to reception.
Location: the surrounding streets don't look nice at all, one doesn't feel safe walking alone after dark, especially a woman.
It is also not very central (however, it is close to some "trendy" areas of London such as Shoreditch and Bricklane; also, a bus stop is very close to the hotel).
I will suggest a safer way to lock rooms, gaven key was similar to wardrobe's key.
Breakfast was quite poor, window insulation was insufficient.
nothing.
The whole hotel was VERY hot over heated we had to ask for a fan (mid Nov) and our room was unbearably hot.
Hot breakfast left unattended on plate warmer dried out (and went cold).
The breakfast was basic but it wasn't really important for us..
Room cleaning should be better.
The breakfast menu was poor.
nothing!.
No dislikes.
The area may seem a bit off putting to someone on a first visit to London but it is only a 2 minute walk from the DLR to the Hotel.
The room was really small. If you are just sleeping in it at night like I did, then it doesn't matter.
Would have been brilliant if there had been parking, but that is London. Having staff know about any parking options that were available would have been helpful.
Breakfast was okay but strange heated tray of scrambled egg. Better would be a small microwave so could warm up a croissant.
a lot of steps to get to my room...(and my dad is 70 so that was not the best)
also this isnt at the center of london. but if you dont mind the travel - ot os npt so bad. there is a DLR station nearby (4 mins).
the bed could be harder
no butter at the breakfast
problems with the shower cabin
could be cleaner.
