Fairfield would have to be the best guest house we have stayed in. On arrival we where greeted like family returning home. The welcome glass of sherry on arrival was just what we needed after our long drive. Stuart and Martien are the most amazing hosts, with such attention to detail in every way. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the mountainside. Such a picturesque area. The breakfast room was delightful and the cooked breakfast very generous. Thank you to both of you fo. все обзоры »
Stuart & Martien are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Although we had a small room it was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you could want. The evening meal was top class as were the breakfasts. The location is excellent, being in the beautiful Wye Valley near Tintern Abbey and Chepstow and a pub with good bar meals is round the corner. Despite the weather not being too good we enjoyed our stay and would fully recommend this guest house.
A good location in the beautiful Wye Valley from where you can start some great walks. It has a pub within a couple of minutes walk that does decent pub food and another pub near Tintern Abbey a short drive (or longer walk) away that does an excellent meal. Comfortable, clean accommodation with friendly owners who serve a fantastic breakfast. We also borrowed a map which we appreciated. We also appreciated the welcome sherry sitting looking at a fantastic view.
The proprietors were very friendly and a warm welcome was provided right from the outset.
The room was very clean, tidy, fresh and decor warm and inviting and bed was so comfy, facilities excellent. The location perfect with some spectacular views and the food was excellent an amazing choice.
Also not too far from the Abbey ruins and if you like walks, there are plenty to be had in the area.
10 out of 10 would certainly stay there again without any hesitation.
Even though our room was small, the en-suite was sizeable. Everything
had been thought of to the point of there being a "courtesy
box" containing all sorts of bits and bobs you might only realise
you'd forgotten when you come to need one.
Breakfast was superb with both continental and full English on the menu.
The bed was comfortable too and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
This B&B was an excellent choice for us. The place was very comfortable and rustic with a pretty view of the valley from the breakfast area. Room was really cosy with good clean bathroom. Checkout at 11, which have is time to relax a bit in the morning. We arrived late, but Stuart was very accommodating and patient letting us in so late and showing us to our room.
Friendly & welcoming hosts
Peaceful & relaxed ambience
Attention to detail eg bottled water & crystal water glasses , toiletry hospitality box, fluffy towels. Good quality room , superb airy breakfast room and 2 beautiful sun terraces which we made full use of. A place that you look forward to going back to at the end of the day.
Quirky b&b, couldn't fault attention to detail and welcoming nature of our hosts.
And one of the best sleeps - suite was like home from home.
Breakfast was lovely and hearty
Would certainly recommend a visit - location and views from the conservatory were beautiful.
We stayed in the suite and it really felt like home. Great attention to detail...it's a tad quirky but all in the best possible taste. Breakfast was great rooms were comfortable wifi worked well. Very quiet area too. Would stay here again for sure.
Beautiful views, lovely rooms, great hosts and excellent facilities! In addition, Stuart and Martien's hospitality and their attention to details really made our weekend feel special. We certainly hope to stay at Fairfield again, in future.
Hosts were amazing, welcoming and friendly. Meal on first evening was really enjoyable as was breakfast every day. Lots of thoughtful extras in bedrooms which were appreciated. Lovely part of the country with great walks and plenty to do.
The hospitality was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for Stuart & Martien. Breakfast in the conservatory was great and kept us going all day and the views are brilliant. Rooms are lovely, very bright and airy.
They were very friendly and professional. The facilities were clean and comfortable and there were many little thoughtful touches to ensure our stay was comfortable. Loved the med style tiling around the walkways.
An outstanding guest house amidst superb scenery. As near to being in a Swiss Village as you will get anywhere in the U.K. Fairfield was top notch, and run by the nicest of people in a professional way.
Very welcoming, helpful and friendly owners. Amazing views. Lovely breakfast (with delicious coffee :) Clean, tidy and decorated with real character and personality. Wonderful boutique guest house.
The b&b had fantastic quirky/boutique decor, lovely/friendly hosts. Location was stunning and had outdoor terrace to enjoy the views. Breakfast was amazing and lots of variety. Fantastic stay!.
Everything. Peaceful setting, pampering hosts who have taken all the little details to mind. I felt so comfy and at home. Have recommended to all my friends. Didn't want to leave.
Beautiful lush village in Wales & amazing breakfast in the Conservatory looking down the valley. Picture perfect.

If there was one point I had to come up with as a negative I'd say
it was a shame that the towel provided was towel sized and not bath-
sheet sized. They were fluffy though and had cool fish designs on though
so who cares whether it was a bit small :-).
Not much!!!.
The only thing that I would change would be to put curtains in the bedroom. Blinds look good and stylish but they leak light and if light wakes you up (it does me) then this may bother you.
We could only stay for a long weekend:-(.
Noisy bathroom doors, something to do with the unpainted wood perhaps? Could hear other guests going in and out of their bathrooms.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
The inability to pay by card is a minor issue so prepare to have enough cash if you haven't settled up on-line.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Bed was a little too firm, personal taste though l guess .
nothing really - a bath woold have been nice, but not critical and shower was excellent.
