Whyteside House.

Great location.
Wonderful hosts, went well above and beyond the call of duty to help us get down to Seahouses and the Farne Islands! A beautiful room as well.
Lovely B&B with friendly and helpful owner. Comfortable and clean, the rooms actually feel more modern than the photos suggest.
The room was very comfortable with a lovely shower room. The central location was ideal for exploring the walls and river walks.
Whyteside House was well situated in easy walking distance fof the shops and theatre. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
Room was spotless and check-in wasn't set at after 4pm, like a lot of places. Lovely breakfast and owner very welcoming.
It was a good, old fashioned, B&B, with a nice welcome and a hearty breakfast, in a good location.
The owner was very helpful and we found The Whyteside to be just what we needed. Recommended.

Situation of Hotel.
Location.
Friendly staff.
We only had 2 nights.
Nothing.
The bed was a bit hard! There was a bit of traffic noise as it is on the main road but it did not bother us.
No private car park, although we did manage to get a space on the road outside the hotel.
No proper duvets - difficult to manage sheet and eiderdown
Decor was dreary - need lots of white paint and plain, bright colours
Need more flexibility over breakfast time.
I am a bath person but as we were only staying one nite we
didn't mind the shower only ensuite. We thought £85 was a bit
expensive for b&b but didnt mind for the one nite as owner made
us feel so welcome.
Traffic noise. Rooms a bit on small side.
Traffic noise.
Noisy seagulls !.
Our room faced onto the main road and despite wooden shutters there was significant traffic noise in the morning.
no minus points.
parking would be a problem if you were leaving your car all day.
Noise from street.
No private car parking.
Would have liked an area to sit in.
Nothing.
The entrance was very dark but once inside it was very nice.
Small shower, parking on street.
The breakfast was disappointing, especially for those not wanting a
cooked meal. Being more generous with the fresh fruit would be a start.
Parking on road. Bedrooms face main road and can be noisy.
Our room was too small. Small shared dining room for breakfast. Accomodation was over priced for location and facilities.
Car parking at the hotel was not good.
Sleepless nights so noisy and breakfast unappetising
Two tier room rate one for direct customers higher one for letsbookhotel.com customers
Washing machine at 2am in morning.
the bed was small for a large man like me.
Breakfast did not have much choice.
