I like the hotel in general, the staff were friendly and they tried to help us regarding to internet issues,we received special treatment ,the receptionist changed the room from floor two to seven with a nice view and also we received a gift (bowl fruits and drinks . the most interesting thing is unlikely of other hotels in Istanbul no one ask us for giving any deposit in check in time,and no rushing for checkout as well. I liked the gym,steam room and the swimming pool very much.

DIVAN Istanbul is perfectly central, 3 minutes walk to Istiklal Caddesi and a 8 minute walk to the Dolmabahçe Palace and Bosphorus. While a hotel in an ideal location is not necessarily a good hotel, this hotel is close to ideal as it is luxurious, affordable with friendly and helpful staff. Made our stay in Istanbul memorable. Moreover, it has a good gymn, indoor swimming pool and a spa. Spa, pool, poite and professional, nice staff. Kitchen is great. Great food in restaurants. Nice smenities, beds arr the best until now. Rainshower and bath are great and working real good. Everything is clean and tastefull!. The crew is very polite.The rooms are very clean and everything is in order.It is very close to Taksimsquare and either to Bosphorus.I saved a lot of time because of the location.My first choice in Istanbul city is Divan. I liked the rooms very much. I liked the staff and the location of the hotel. I liked also that the departure day they did not have any problem to extend for couple of hours my stay at the hotel, without any cost. That staff understand English , the design they have the best Turkish coffee ever the bed is so comfortable the Breakfast is was so nice . the spa was amazing and the Turkish bath was spectacular. Location is amazing Very,super clean Cloose to every thing . Walking distance to major attractions & shops Friendly staff & accomodating. Allowed us for early check in 7am. The hotel is very well located and comfortable. Beautifully designed and looked after. The staff are great, Ms Akbal is reception was particularly friendly and helpful. I was kindly upgraded to a junior suite and it was great. Once again the staff were fantastic, efficient and helpful. I look forward to returning in December. I have stayed in this hotel for 6 or 7 times and it will always be my choice in istanbul, the rooms are specious This is my home in istanbul. Good, large, well furbished, modern rooms. The hotel facilities. Two issues were disappointing: 1-The internet is not free, charging 15 Euro per day is pretty much. 2-Breakfast is not included and again 30 Euro is expensive. We wanted to enjoy a fine dining experience at the DIVAN restaurant but unfortunately it was closed. There were no notices and in fact the front desk directed us to the restaurant not knowing it was closed. Nonetheless, the PUB restaurant was pretty good. Wifi is really expensive. The traffic in front of the hotel because of the renovation of Taksim Square. The staff should be more friendly . the 1st of May we could not leave the Hotel because it was the worker day . They should informe us a head of time to make un alternative plan. Poor house keeping. Did not allow us for late check out due to fully booked although i had a jonior sweet. Internet should be included in the room price. I really feel that internet these days is a free service. €15 per day is overly expensive especially as it isn't the fastest. This december for the first 4 days the room was not cleaned properly and I was so upset and left the hotel, then I came back and they gave me an upgrade so thanks to the manager. Expensive breakfast. WiFi available only against payment. The construction site at Taksim Square, so not related to the hotel itself. there is no free wifi available at this price of hotel. The Japanese restaurant in the lobby is very small and opened at 6.30 in the evening. I went at 7.00p.m and unfortunately was full of Asian people from outside and no free table. I was told to return after a hour, which I did and still there was no free table. I think, it should have had some priorities for the guest who are staying in the hotel. May be 2-3 reserved tables for them might help . The separate charging for the access to the internet. The excessive prices of the bar and the restaurant. Internet is pricy (should be free) Breakfast is overpriced. Had to pay for Internet, which is abnormal for a 5 star luxury hotel. during my stay there were protests in front of the hotel, the problem that the hotel allowed the protesters to stay at the lobby and that made some disturbance, however, the hotel controlled the crowed very well. also, the size of the room wasn't good. Not a family-friendly hotel: does not include kettle in the room and no tea & coffee, no iron or iron board. The electronic curtains were not practical as they used to get stuck frequently. Construction site in front; Overprizing for additional services, as breakfast, internet, etc. No tea making facility in the room, Internet is charged even in the lobby. Service for a solo woman in lobby bar virtually non-existent, even when I got up to ask for someone. Room service menu lacked many options. Breakfast buffet very expensive and not a lot of variety. No Free Wi-Fi, plus very bad Wi-Fi connection in the Room. Hotel Bar close early @ 23:30pm?! Over priced Breakfast !!. No catle, iron, iron board, and tea & coffee in the room. . Construction works going on. they didnt gave us extra time for chic out time. No boiler in the room and the internet for a fee. No welcoming fruit or drink. Internet not included. nothing!!!. For a luxury hotel I think Wi-Fi should be free. Im a very picky individual but to my surprise there was nothing to report. Perfect, yet again. The snow... restaurant staff there is no good sport channel. Uncomfortable matress. Shower infested with tiny flies. Expensive buffet breakfast. Always write down the taxi license plate in case of unethical behaviour. Wifi is not free. Several charges as for example wifi charge. all extras are far too expensive wifi - invoiced breakfast 30 € ! laundry 1 shirt 12.89 € !. No wifi free No breakfast with the booking. At this level internet should be free. No coffee maker. The location from the protesters camp.
